My wife and I left the meeting with Kelly Agers exceptionally frustrated. Each of the other we have met with contractors left us energized and after Kelly left, my wife and I were so frustrated we spent much of the rest of the day venting about his rudeness, dismissiveness, and contradictions. Kelly would disagree with us even if we agreed with him. My wife would suggest an option, Kelly would dismiss it and then when we'd ask for his suggestion, he would suggest the same thing. I deal with requirements definitions at work all day long and rarely have I ever encountered such an oppositional individual.
I'm not sure if he discredited us for our age, didn't like the property or what but where the other contractors saw opportunity, Kelly saw a problem.
The other contractors all received the same information, had similar conversations, and I shared identical requirements options to ensure apples to apples bid comparison. Kelly is the only one who seemed fluxomed by the interaction.
I have no idea about the quality of the homes Kelly does build but he obviously was not interested in helping us build ours.
