    Build my home
    $318,000

Building process was OK mainly because I was out of state. Since closing and moving in, it has been one issue after another. Site manager was Jake until end of 2022, and it's been absolutely POOR and sinking since Evan. I experience a leak early December 2023 and have yet to hear from builder. Plumber replaced pipe and I have been stuck with cleaning up the mess. It's especially sad because Coventry subcontractor placed a nail through it a water pipe. My home insurance states it's a build problem and refused to pay for repairs. Builder has yet to contact me since. DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY.

DFH / MHI / Coventry homes is a shady, unfair, unethical, predatory builder that should be avoided at all cost! We signed a contract with them to build a new house in July 2021. They gladly took our earnest and options money of $34k.

They estimated the build to take about a year to finish due to labor and material shortages.
We were waiting patiently for a while, but the progress was very slow, and by May 2022 it was apparent that the house would not be ready anytime soon. In the meantime, house prices also went up significantly since we signed the contract.

We contacted Jennifer Rich from DFH/ MHI / Coventry if there was a way to get out of the contract with a win/win/win situation (builder gets to sell the house for $100k more, we get our money back and buy another house, a new buyer can get the home). She emphasized that MHI / Coventry is "not in the business of taking people's money and if they close on the house we'll get our money back"

So we released the contract on 5/2022, hoping that by the time the house finishes and they close on it, we'll get our money back as promised.

After over 1.5 years of building (instead of the promised 1 year), the house finally finished. They listed the house and sold it for more than $100k over our contracted price in January 2023  (big win for them) but these thieves refused to give our earnest / options money back. So essentially they tricked us into releasing the contract with false promises so they could sell the house for extra profit and on top of it steal our $34k deposit.

Learn from our mistakes and do not do business with these greedy, unethical, evil creatures!

Remember, DO NOT ever sign their contract under any circumstances, it's written in a way that they can take your hard earned money and they are going to lie to you empty promises to steal it.

When it comes to such an important investment as your home, you don't want to take chances.
They only care about making profit and don't care about their customers. There are other reputable builders, DFH / Coventry is unfortunately NOT one of them.

Do your research, read reviews (other than mine), talk to reputable real estate agents and it'll be clear that DFH / coventry is unethical and only want your money, and they will do everything to take it!

RUN FROM THESE CROOKS, AND DON'T EVER LOOK BACK!

My boyfriend and I built a home with Coventry homes over a year ago now. We have been putting in warranty request for 6 months. At the beginning of Dec. we finally spoke with someone who told us that we would get start in two weeks. When that time came around we still recieved no schedule or communication. They then changed their plan and told us we would have to wait until the houses were done closing in Dec. We have been waiting six months with 54 warranty items that need to be fixed. Some of which are a danger to us being here in the home. I would never recommend this builder to anyone. We stop receiving any communication from many people in the company after closing. DO NOT BUY WITH THEM! You will not receive the customer service or quality you are paying for.

    construct a home

MHI Partnership, Ltd d/b/a Coventry Homes DAM225 – Coventry Homes were contracted to build a home on 1/15/2019, They advised house was ready on 11/29/2019 at Thankgiving Holidays when no Title Company was open to close, we showed up for closing but they could not accommodate our correct names on the contract and did not show up for closing; They stole our $18,290.00 Earnest money. They failed to close purchase of the property as required by Contract Original Contract).

This was our FINAL HOME what turned out be sheer hell to deal with them , they hide behind low paid and overworked Sales Person so that they can steal your hard earned money as they do not know how to build home after they claim they have built 55,000.00 homes. This is the only way they can make money by stealing and ripping p n They are liars and theives to rip people off. One would thinks they can read blue print.

Our FINAL HOME has so many flows.

I would not trust Mr. Pospisil, Mr. Chas Ceise, Ms. Freddi Lovin/ emotional person, cried at a drop of hat and runs to superior, who now works selling insurance.

They could not even follow a simple Construction Design Diagram which they charged us for, they did not build house as per diagram yet wanted full money. They changed and added verbiage to Para 30 page 8 which would take away Buyers Rights without Buyers knowledge, it is Concealment of information which can destroy buyers enforceability of specific condition and apply “AS IS” Clause. We were forced to sign the Contract #22 misrepresenting facts. Construction Diagram dated 1/15/2019 by Joe Pritchard was sent to Architect on same date but was not incorporated nor was the house built in accordance. Mr. Rudy Pospisil is not a trustworthy man nor doe he keep his word and he hides behind low paid staff to protect himself.

This Company is unscrupulous, do not do business with them or build with tem even if they are the last company on earth. It is a sheer nightmare to deal with them

    Build a home

This builder is deceptive, and corrupt! They deserve no ranking; this company will take your money and go through the entire process then yank the contract from you! Do not buy from this builder! They do not care and even if you write to the President of the Company, no care or thought on what their company's sales, and construction managers are doing, they will lie to your face. I do not know how they sleep at night doing what they did to us. We had been in contract for over 6 months, went through every meeting all of the design process, the electrical, and preconstruction meeting, one week after it they pulled our contract saying we were no longer approved which is a bunch of bs! We had over 24K into it as well! These people are awful stay away! Liz, Jacob, Jason, Dennis, and their joke of an inside lender Brad at FC Lending! Hear any of those names run! Their President even Gary Tesch - the entire builder corporation is awful!
