    Install wood floors
    $9,000

We purchased a home in Johnson, Arkansas, built in 1997, with original flooring installed by Coyote Flooring. We hired them again to extend the same flooring into rooms that previously had carpet. After the installation, we decided to replace the existing MDF baseboards with pine trim and discovered that Coyote had removed the original trim to install the floors, then reattached it before staining. This left a visible strip of unstained wood along the base of the walls.

The new trim doesn’t cover these unstained areas, so we now have to restain before installing it. We felt this approach was sloppy. Additionally, the floorboards are uneven, with large gaps between the floor and walls.

We chose a different company, Juarez Flooring in Springdale, Arkansas, to finish the bedrooms. Their communication and craftsmanship were excellent, and the quality of work was significantly better.
