CPI came in to bury the cable they cut. WHY, you ask? They had not located, there was also a gas line was above ground and an open sewer pit. Nothing here was ever located. There was no excel, gas, cable, phone, fiber, H2o, or sewer, nothing.
They dug (trenched) across three backyards in a mobile home community. Anyone knows this is a roadmap underground. In the corner of all this by all three houses, they dugTO the poles over eight underground electric service lines and eight gas service lines. Not to mention the primary gas/electric ones as well. I can't count how many cables were cut.
I asked for the locates, I was told: "virtual ones were done." Huh?? Who does that in a mobile home park? Who does this at all? Are you kidding? I laughed, seriously. How do you "see" lines when there aren't any? That is silly, stupid, and dangerous. PAINT and FLAG.
They sent me ones to the wrong county, and it said Xcel " Clear NO Conflict" in fact, it said it on ALL utilities. There was a major conflict. I kicked them off TWICE. Told them to get locates, It's the LAW. They came with the police officers... Xcel said that night, "we have no paperwork and NO, we did not locate here." That was obvious.
So, if you want a shady "virtual locate not in your county" and they dug well beyond what they should of for cable. It was a trench with gas lines laying across the yard... call them. They would love to come on over, with the police officers. Who knew police officers located?
15 years in utilities, I shoulda called them.
If you do your job CORRECTLY the first time, you don't have to come out the second and third time. Then you don't have to deal with me. Then you don't get CRAP reviews...
