In December of 2017, we contracted with Ken Crast of Crast Custom Homes to build our new home on Hilton Head Island. It was the best decision we ever made. Ken is very easy to work with and ensured all our requirements were met. He also suggested improvements that we embraced and completed the home on time and on budget. He personally supervised the construction of our home and was responsive to any questions we had. The quality of his workmanship and attention to detail is incredible. Today, we are truly grateful for having selected Ken and if we have the good fortune to have another house built, we will definitely only go with Ken.

I highly recommend Ken Crast, owner of Crast Custom Homes and his team to build your dream home. Ken and I worked closely together from the design stage to the finish product, building our custom home on Daufuskie Island. His attention to detail made all the difference from previous building experiences we have had. He surrounds himself with quality people such as our on site Job Supervisor, Frank Smolley to subcontractors that he works with. Mutual respect is the best way to describe the working relationship Ken has with each person working on your home. He knew all of our house details even making drawings for all of the built-ins and cabinetry in our home, including a mahogany bar. The millwork he created, including the ceiling mouldings, wall panels and beamed and coffered ceilings is stunning. I had specific design details in each room which suited how it was to be furnished, to make certain they would fit Ken flew up to Connecticut to photograph and measure furnishings that we were moving down to the new house. Our design incorporated not only style and flow, but also included wall space requirements and convenience for placement of elevator stops over four floors from the basement/garage to the attic, making it a complex puzzle. His knowledge of the essentials of our home with his continued research on the best products to install or vendors to use, were all part of what makes Ken a great builder and distinguishes him from the rest. His method of building protects your home and your investment. Completed March, 2012.
