By R K.April 13, 2020$250K remodel of first floor$250,000Response from Credence Construction LLC August 24, 2020Mrs. **** is right. This was a horrible experience. When we (Credence Constuction) enter someone's house to perform work we know that they are inviting us into their sanctuary and entrusting us to help improve their residence into their dream home. Nowadays there can be no doubt that someone's home, in addition to likely being their largest asset, may also be the place they spend a vast majority of their time and feel safest. We consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to craft the type of living spaces in which people crave to spend time. Sometimes though, things just don't work out. Maybe our extensive contract, scope of work (11 pages), and intensive upfront planning just wasn't sufficient for Mrs. ****. Or maybe it was the fact that she changed her mind repeatedly, ultimately leading to 9 change orders, each of which extended the project by 3 - 5 weeks. Maybe providing regular site visits and email updates to Mrs. **** wasn't proactive enough (most of our clients seem to really like it!). As Mrs. ****'s repeated changes stretched the time for construction, we did ask for them to pay us interim draws, pursuant to the contract, for work that was completed. When these were not timely paid, we continued our work and continued ensuring that the changed materials Mrs. **** requested were under production. They arrived and remain in our storage. If Mrs. **** truly had to have some of our work redone 3 times, then perhaps the problem is with Mrs. ****, since each additional redo after the first one would have nothing to do with Credence. If true, this is unsurprising, because Credence endured, in its opinion, Mrs. ****'s interference, argumentativeness, and neck-snapping changes of heart on a frequent and ongoing basis. Subsequent contractors probably endured the same. This was horrible, and like nothing we've ever experienced on any project in over a decade of work. We look forward to another decade of smooth sailing and beautiful projects in the future.

Very helpful with a consultation. Needed to remove a wall and needed to know if it was load bearing. Helped with this task and very glad for the consult and put me at ease. Thanks!

By a user in ValricoAugust 11, 2017Kitchen remodel$6,500
My experience was Amazing from start to finish ! I had a small kitchen remodel, however, they treated me as if it was a large project. Bill was my project manager, he was there every day,, ON TIME, and kept his crew on task & on schedule. I didn't think I would be able to get the quartz countertop I really wanted, however Bill took me to several different vendors until we found one that would fit in my budget. I would highly recommend them.

The process that Credence Construction has in place from start to finish was seamless. They were very efficient and communicated everything very effectively. My husband and I would highly recommend them if you are in the market to build a new home!

Permits
- Building permit records show that Credence Construction LLC has worked on 117 permitted projects.
Horrible Experience. From the very start, the project was a disaster. Credence does not pay attention to plans or details. Every aspect of our major renovation was bad. They went through numerous project managers. They did not communicate with us pro-actively at all and did not meet any of the scheduled project timelines causing a huge delay in our project. We were promised 18 weeks and we fired and sued them after 48 weeks. Once the work was performed, the quality of work was abominable, resulting in having to redo some work 2-3 or more times. They over promise and under deliver. They hire mostly subs if they can find people who will work with them. They consistently tried to ask for milestone payments weeks before that milestone was even feasible. They would state that they would be on the project and not show for days and weeks at a time. They would then ask for payments for work not yet completed in order to return. We eventually fired them and had to hire an attorney.
