- Building permit records show that Crespin Mechanical Inc has worked on 1367 permitted projects.
Crespin Mechanical installed my air conditioner. Approximately a month later it stopped working. I called out another company to look at it and they found that Crespin Mechanical had not tightened down one of the wires or "legs" properly. This caused the unit to arc endlessly and fry the unit (see attached photo). If you know anything about electricity, this could have easily started a fire and as I live in a townhome where the units are all attached, this could have been disastrous/deadly.
This along with other shoddy workmanship such as improperly secured piping and other ill fitting attachments made me decide not to go with Crespin Mechanical for the new unit.
Instead, I contacted Mr. Crespin and asked him what he was going to do to make this right. His response was to give me a series of excuses that sadly placed even MORE of the blame on him and make me question if he understands how electricity works at all. For example, he stated that there could have been a "nick" in the wire and that could have caused the arcing. When I asked how he could have missed a "nick", he immediately changed topics and gave another excuse. The whole conversation was just a series of excuses. If you want to hear it, I recorded it.
The end result is that if this company does you wrong, they will make no effort to make it right.
