My experience with Crestline Builders and Mr. Bartolotta has been awful. We should have know better when during the rough in his crew didn't read the blue prints and the house was built approximately 2' by 35' short. When we pointed it out he said it would not be possible to fix that. They did move the stairs to the basement over two feet to recover some room in the great room.
During the building phase Mr. Bartolotta is your best friend. A real charming gentleman. You will discuss items during the build and he will agree to those things. I know it is my fault for trusting him and not get it in writing. When you ask about those things he will say "lets look at the contract".
Beware. After you close he is done with you. He will not return calls. He will ignore you. If you do happen to talk to him he will tell you he will come see you "before the end of the week". That never happens.
The windows Mr. Bartolotta uses is a very inferior product. They are MLC windows, a company owned by his son. MLC refuses to service their products. I have been trying to get a door wall screen replaced and the door wall itself fixed for over one year.
I followed the procedure to exercise my warranty issued by Mr. Bartolotta. Sent a registered, signature required letter itemizing my issues. He has 30 days to respond. After almost three months of silence I have tried reaching out to him. The last time when I pointed out he was in default on his contract to repair he said "I know. Do what you think you have to". That leaves me with little options.
Please, please, please, think twice before doing business with Crestline Builders and Mr. Bartolotta. You will regret singing a contract. Don't do it.
