By JessicaMay 17, 2021hardwood floor installation$3,000
This company installed hardwood floor from Floor & Decor. The quality is horrible with huge gaps. We will be tearing out 3 year old real oak floors because it is so bad. Kurt hung up on me while we were talking (and I was not raising my voice). Do not give this company your business.

By Jeff P.May 19, 2020Replace railing and siding
I have had Crestwood homes preform two separate projects for me over a three-year period. The first project was to replace the railing on my deck and to replace siding that had become soft. The siding project ended up becoming a much bigger project than either Kurt or I expected. Each step Kurt was able to show me what needed to be done and explained how they would do it. The result was a quality job at a very fair price.
Two years later I went back to hire Crestwood to have them replace the privacy wall on my deck. The project went according to plan. They built exactly what I wanted and the price was very fair.
Both of projects were very hard to find a contractor willing quote them. Crestwood did them with open arms. I found their people to be very professional. The worksite was orderly and everything was cleaned up before they left. -
March 10, 2020Wood bedroom floor and tile bathroom floor
I wish I would have read reviews about Crestwood Homes prior to my bad experience with them. I hired them to install a wood bedroom floor and a tile bathroom. I was told that this could be completed in three days. When they started on the first day, I was informed that they have a side business and would be snow plowing if there was snow. It snowed the next day and the quoted 3 day project took 6 days as well as them having to come back to fix work that was not done properly. I would not recommend anyone using this company.

By HannahNovember 22, 2019Garage Build$30,000
Crestwood Homes was our contractor for our garage project. My husband first met with Kurt Raymond in May of 2017, and it was agreed that the garage project would begin in July of 2017. There were a huge number of barriers that arose during the 2+ year project that this became (from the permit information not getting submitted in time the concrete subcontractor failing to complete his work to issues with failing to follow city code that a contractor should know to failure to complete a garage to pass final inspection despite many promises to finish the job). Crestwood Homes would continue to state that they were going to come out and finish X,Y, Z and then fail to show up. Time and again they would report they had ordered supplies, which they did not. The garage was only completed due to my husband finishing it himself, as the other contractors we spoke with were wary of doing work on a job a different contractor had started. The crew was nice, as was Kurt Raymond, but the level of professionalism from a commitment standpoint was severely lacking and a large number of errors were made that had to be corrected. I could not be more strong in my recommendation to LOOK ELSEWHERE. We will never again utilize Crestwood Homes for any services.

We initially made contact with Crestwood in 2018/2019 about doing a master bathroom remodel. They at the time quoted us a one week turn around time if no permits were pulled, but did quote us the cost to pull permits. He told us a completely inaccurate cost for the cost of permits. He also told us if we want to pull them he would be able to and put the costs into our project bid. I have recently found out from the city of Waukesha that his contractor certification expired in 2014..so he would NOT have been able to pull permits had we asked. The project ended up taking almost 4 weeks. Along the way, we had to point out areas of work that were incomplete or not done well. He charged us almost $700 to paint our bathroom, but didn't even remove the outlet coverings to paint behind them. The first time they put down the tile floor it all started popping up/grout was cracking within a day. They tried to redo a couple pieces and it did the same thing. Only THEN did they realize that they would need to pull up the laminate below the tile. The workers were not careful while laying the grout, causing a number of areas around our bathroom to have grout on the wall. Kurt did take the cost of painting off at the end due to us being very displeased with the job done.
