BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have been referred to this co twice by American Home Shield, who also gets 1 star! The first time a tech went out to my property he claimed to have fixed an issue with my AC, not 10 minutes after he left my AC went out again. He came back out and said it was a capacitor but it had to be ordered and would be several days. Keep in mind this was summer time in AZ. The part came in a few days later and they came out and replaced it. I believe it was a few days later it went out yet again. They sent a tech out and he was able to fix the issue…..so we thought! Turns out the techs made some quick fixes that really didn’t fix the issue at all. Fast track to this past weekend my tenants were going thru $30 per day of electricity. The ac was running continuously so once again I contacted the home warranty co, American home shield. They sent crispy air back out and the tech stated there was NOTHING wrong with the unit BUT there might be something wrong with the thermostat but he couldn’t fix it, he had to write a report and I would have to call them back to come back out. I have tenants in the home and it’s over 100 degrees. I can’t have them without AC. I called them back and literally had to go thru an automated system that is just as crappy as their service!! I decided to get a second opinion. I contacted Paragon who I have used in the past and they came out first thing the next morning. It took the tech 5 Minutes to determine what the issue was. He replaced some wiring in the unit which were CLEARLY burnt looking. He said although the thermostat was older he. Did not see any issues with it. Apparently whoever had been out “fixing” the unit had only done temporary fixes. Crispy air was supposed to be back out but the tech was out because he was severely ill….of course he was it was Sunday!! Paragon was able to fix the issue and my tenant is back up and running. I will not be using American home shield or Crispy air again. Home warranties are a nightmare and so is Crispy air. People depend on companies to send their professionals out to fix our problems. So sad that we have such incompetent people and businesses just taking our hard earned money. If you need a competent co with professional techs contact Paragon. Ill be interested to see their response

In November 2021 Crispy Air was sent to us through American Home Shield to replace a compressor. We assumed that the job was done correctly. On May 5th we had our regular AC maintenance company out here to do our summer maintenance. At that time he noticed that our refrigerant levels were extremely low. Mind you we had just started running the AC the week prior. We reached out to American Home Shield and again they sent out Crispy Air. Andrew the tech arrived at 7:30 pm and immediately upon walking in the door said you are not under warranty anymore and to be honest we are not responsible for anything after we get in our vans and leave. He went out to the unit and returned in our house within 4 minutes and said that we have a leak in our wall and that our kitchen wall would need to be gutted so that they could have access to the line as he was sticking his fingers in my face saying, "See the grease on my fingers" When looking on our security footage he spent most of his time on the phone as he was leaning up against our home with such greasy hands that he left a grease handprint on the house. We went back and forth between AHS and Crispy Air to determine what diagnostic test he ran that determined there was actually a leak and where. I was sent a report from Crispy Air that gave a cost to replace 60-70 feet of copper line along with 4 pictures. 1) Serial no. 2) Reading that said our refrigerant was low and two pictures of the tech pointing to the line. We went 9 days without any air in 100+ temps and reached out to another company to get a second opinion. They came out, did a pressure leak test and found the leak in the line where Crispy Air braised the copper line to the aluminum line when replacing the filter dryer. The second company efficiently repaired the leak and ran all appropriate tests. He explained to us that when the tech was braising the copper to the aluminum he got it too hot since they melt at different temperatures causing the aluminum to crack. WE DO NOT HAVE A LEAK IN THE WALL. Called Crispy Air and wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify this issue and spoke with Cory the manager. He agreed that his tech should not have said that we need to gut our kitchen that that would be ridiculous and then began getting very defensive when I asked to be reimbursed for the cost of refrigerant and cost of our cost to properly fix the problem. He abruptly ended our call when I said that since we can't seem to reach an amicable solution I have no choice than to get my attorney involved. His response was, "Then we'll have to get our attorney too" Click!
It is very disheartening that a company that services the community can be so dishonest and then does not even have the decency to try and resolve the issue at hand.
Please be for-warned about this company at all cost. Do yourself a favor and go to Yelp and BBB and read their reviews. Given the fact that they have so many negative reviews you would think that the company would try to improve their quality of workmanship rather than shift the blame to everyone else. Looking forward to their response.

I was most impressed by their timeliness, workmanship, cohesive communication between workers in getting the job done, and of course wearing masks during COVID-19. I personally thank Garrett, Tim, & Eddie for their excellent work. The Summer heat is "no joke" in Arizona.

This company and AHS are the definition for incompetence & unethical practices . technician spent 10 min to diagnose outdoor unit and comes back saying that there is leakage in the outdoor unit. When I asked for pictures of the area where he thinks there is a leak, he said he doesn't know where the leak is yet and he has to take everything apart. when I asked details of my outdoor unit like size specifications, he didn't even know. AHS approved so called leakage and company was charging me $900 to fix a fake illusionary leak. Thanks to all bad reviews! I confidently said NO THANKS!

This company is a joke!!!! My home warranty company contracted this company To do a job in return I had to do their job for them! I waited days for them to get authorization to complete the job. I had to call my home warranty stay on the phone and make sure they gave them authorization to complete the job. Authorization was given on a Friday now come wendsday they call me saying they just received authorization and had to order the part. Lies! Authorization was provided on Friday! Now I’m beyond upset as I was told the part needed to be ordered and would take days I informed the office manager I would be providing a review and reporting her. She then offered me $150 off and then said the part would bring tomorrow. Okay the tech arrived today he asked my husband which ac unit needed to be repaired. Mind you we’ve been in a hot house for over a week! It’s the techs job to know that so yes my husband is irritated and told him that’s his job to know. The tech backed up his bag and left!!! He also left my backyard gate wide open!!!! Krispy air your name is pathetic and so are your non services. I’ll be reporting your company on all platforms!!! Your service is horrible!

Had AHS send crispy air and heating out to fix our a/c. first of all it took 3 days to get out to see our unit. then they came out and spent less than 30 min and said we need a new compressor because it is broken. our home warranty wouldn't cover the Freon on the repair and so it would cost us 1800$ for 19 lbs of Freon for the repair, then they said they would just rec a new unit, which would cost us 6000$. i had a second company come out and verify because this is a very big expense. the second company came out and found that our capacitors were missing. we looked around and found them in our garbage. so the new company installed new capacitors and boom the a/c works perfectly. not only did they just throw the parts away my units max capacity for Freon is 13.5 lbs or Freon which they would be overcharging me for the Freon. crispy air and heating tried to scam me and my family when we needed help because of how hot it is and I am not happy about it. very unprofessional and not trustworthy. DO NOT USE!!!

If only giving negative stars was possible. This company would deserve them all.
On Labor day (Sept 2nd, 2019) my AC unit went out. I submitted a work request online with my home warranty company, American Home Shield (avoid this company too. But that is for a different review) to get the AC unit fixed. AHS sent a message stating that a company called Crispy Air and Heating would be the contractor. I had never heard of them so I immediately looked them up online. To my horror they were rated very low, 2 out of 5 stars and just as bad on Google. I immediately called AHS and requested someone else to do the work. AHS stated that I would have to wait until the tech came to my house and then turn them away and submit another request, thusly incurring another service call fee. I stated that I wanted it on file that I wanted someone else. Two days later the tech came to the house. My wife took the day off of work so someone would be home. The tech showed up, did some work for an hour or two outside the house and then just left. The AC was working, at least for about 12 hrs. The next morning the AC went out again. I called Crispy again and they said they would send someone out that day. This time I took the day off. This time Richard showed up. He looked at everything and then stated to me that he recommended the system be replaced., Not being an HVAC tech myself I had to rely on his knowledge and trust him completely. He stated that there were several leaks and it was not worth fixing. He showed me a picture of the A Coil and pointed to several streaks on the coil., He stated that those streaks were where all the coolant was leaking out. He stated that fixing it was not worth it and again he recommended it be replaced. I said I had coverage through AHS so it should be no problem. Richard stated that he would go call AHS and his company to see what he could get me. He returned about 10 or 15 minutes later and stated he called AHS and they would only cover $1500. He stated his company would kick in another $800 because my dad was in the military, $300, and his company would kick in a discount, $500. I later found out that he NEVER called AHS and this was proven when I finally got through to someone at AHS. He stated that after the discounts the amount that needed financing was $7003. He stated the original price was $9103. Again not knowing what an AC unit should cost I had to trust Richard. I agreed to the terms and signed the contract. After everything was installed I was telling some friends about the whole ordeal. They all stated that it sounded like something was wrong, like I paid way to much. After looking into the situation and going round and round with AHS I started digging. AHS was of no help whatsoever. AHS stated that according to Crispy I asked for an upgrade. When talking with Richard, he NEVER stated I was getting an upgrade nor did I ask for one. According to AHS Richard stated that there was one small leak that could have easily been fixed, the exact opposite of what he told me. Just be warned that if you have AHS they will ALWAYS side with the company that they are forcing you to use. ALWAYS. I was told by one of the guys at the AHS calling center that the tech broke protocol in handling the service call but yet that was somehow my fault. A week after everything was said and done the service manager, Brandon, came out to inspect the work. He looked at everything and said it all looked good. One week after that the system broke down again,. This time, mad as hell and frustrated I called a different company. They came out and went up in the attic. The tech stated that one of the pipes connecting the condenser to the heating unit was loose and all of the coolant had leaked out. Again I was on the phone with Crispy. Again Brandon came out and asked what had happened. I explained what the tech from the other company had told me. He asked why I didn't call Crispy and I told him that with everything that was going on I didn't trust Crispy and was super unhappy with them. After looking at everything Brandon insinuated that the other tech had done something to cause the issue, which he did not. After thinking about the situation more and more I finally contacted an attorney. He stated that I was moist likely a victim of bait-and-switch and/or price gouging, the same statement that a Tiffany had told me. She was in the Real-Estate department. She also stated that Crispy A&H was on thin ice with AHS due to the number of complaints. The attorney told me to get other estimates and then contact the AZ Attorney General. After doing that I realized that the price of their unit was over $3000 higher than comparable units. I have since filed a complaint with the AZ Attorney General, 3 On Your Side and the BBB. Along with reviews on Yelp and Google (I'm doing that next). Just beware and let my hardships be a lesson to you. -

Do not use this company! I would leave zero stars if I could. They were assigned to us by our home warranty company, American Home Shield. I immediately called (Wednesday 9-4-2019, 8:42am) after I submitted the claim and saw who were given as a contractor. On the phone I asked when they could come to diagnose why our A/C had abruptly stopped working. In the meantime, my father who has 40+ years experience working on industrial machines came over to check the issue and told us the problem was the blower motor. Anyhow, Crispy Air said they could come the next day between 8am and 8pm. Not having any A/C for over 24 hours during an Arizona summer was very disappointing, add to the matter I am having a high risk pregnancy, I have other kids and an elderly dog. They had no sympathy for the matter and would not change that they could not come till tomorrow. My husband and I were forced to purchase a portable unit for $600 at that point, as the risk of over heating could cause the loss of the pregnancy. We placed the unit in our bedroom where we all had to huddle. Finally around 3 or 4 the next the day (Thursday 9-5-2019) the technician (Richard) calls to let me know he was on his way. I answered the phone and he said he was 30 mins out and I said "okay, we are home" he said "yeah", I said "thank you" he said "yeah", just completely rude and irritated I guess he has to work. Once Richard arrived we told him the problem was the blower motor and he was so rude! He said "I don't know who told you the blower motor is bad, but it’s the control board that's bad". This assessment took less than 5 minutes and used zero equipment to test or analyze the problem. He was completely negligent, and should have taken due diligence as people’s lives are at stake when the A/C goes out in a climate like this. We were skeptical, and questioned further, but he was adamant it was the board, not the motor. But the board had already been replaced 2 months ago, we did not believe him. He left saying that he will have to order the part and get it approved from American Home Shield. Friday (9-6-2019 at 9:22am) Crispy Air called to let us know they can return to install the board on Monday (9-9-2019) between 8am and 8pm which would be 6 days of no A/C in the Arizona heat all for a part we did not believe was bad. So at that point on Friday we had someone else come out to assess the situation and guess what was bad???? The blower motor!!! The blower motor was replaced no thanks to Crispy Air or American Home Shield, and guess what the “bad board” is operating the new blower motor just fine. Had we waited for Crispy Air on Monday would still be without A/C as a new board would not have fixed the REAL issue. And how many more days would we be waiting on parts to be ordered and American Home Shield to approve it? How many more days would our house be unbearable? Well, Crispy Air wouldn’t have cared either way! IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED CRISPY AIR, ASK FOR A RE-ASSIGNMENT!!

I wanted to make sure I did my research into this company before leaving my review. With that stated here is my experience with Crispy Air & Heating.
Like so many others, I too, have a warranty with American Home Shield and was assigned this company when my air stopped working. I needed a standard 1075 motor and a new fuse. The tech that came to my house was Nick. He told me that I needed a special motor that required authorization from my warranty company and could take a couple days to get and they couldn’t order the part until the authorization was approved. Since it is so hot and my daughter has a heart condition I was a little upset about this. All he could say was sorry it’s not just a standard motor and this is how it has to be done. He stated that if I didn’t want to wait I could purchase a new unit for $8500 and they could install tomorrow.
This is when the alarm bells went off for me. I got angry and told him I’d be contacting the warranty company myself. I called American Home Shield and was told that they have a preset authorization limit and if the repair is under that I do not need authorization and they could complete the repair. The customer service rep told me that they have had complaints about this company delaying simple repairs to push homeowners to new units.
Are you outrage yet? If you’re not just wait it gets worse.. I took pictures of my motor and sent them to different local companies asking what type of motor this was and how much one would generally cost. I was shocked by the answer.. I was told by 3 different companies that the motor I had to replace was a standard stock motor that their techs carry on the truck. 2 of those companies are also contracted with my warranty company and said it is under their authorization limit and if I call my warranty company back and request them they can come out today to get my air running. I was told they get a lot of business from upset customers of Crispy Air and Heating. I called the office and requested to speak to a manager. 30 minutes later I had the pleasure of speaking with Tarah the office Manager.
After discussing my displeasure of being without air for 2 days for a simple motor and I wanted it to be fixed she stated that the customer service rep from the warranty company was lying and that they do this all the time. She stated my motor was not standard and techs do not carry motors on their trucks. She told me the first tech that comes out is their sale tech and only their repair techs can actually do repairs... Again all I heard was red flags.. was she actually telling me that half her staff cannot so simple repairs? When I pointed out how this was shady business and wanted to speak to the owner she told me good luck with that.. he doesn’t actually talk to customers and is hardly in the office. I got mad and stated that this is not good business and I will be filing a complaint and would be contacting the warranty.. she just laughed and said they get out of complaints and good luck finding a company that would want to handle me.
I started researching all reviews and the BBB to determine who the owner is and report them to the warranty company and the ROC. Once I found the owners name I started to laugh.. his name is Tim Lyftogt and he actually leaves reviews for his own company. Instead of fixing the bad business practice he partakes in, he attempts to bring ratings up by posting reviews and having employees post reviews. Don’t believe... read through the google reviews. T Tellez is the office manager.. Yes, I was able to verify this with a little digging and you can too! The business information is public!
Needless to say I had a different company come out the next day and replace my motor. The tech that came out advised that they know most of Crispy Airs employees are not certified to work on a/c units and for future references I should request to see their certification before allowing anyone to work on my a/c. He told me most people do not know that and honest companies only hire experience workers.
Beware other homeowners!!

By JayJune 10, 2019Install new A/C Furnace Combo unit$7,500
I have been a homeowner for 40yrs. I have NEVER had a more unpleasant contractor experience in all of those years. Crispy might have one or two Techs that are worth a darn, but the company as a whole is a professional joke. I endured 8 Months of less than shoddy workmanship and broken promises. A new combo unit installation that didn’t work right from day 1. 90 inside temps in July, to a non working furnace in Dec-Jan 20 degree outside temps. Nightmare of a 3 Stooges “contractor”. That is a condensed version of my experience... It’s ongoing currently. If your home warranty company picks them to fix your problems? REFUSE! You’ll be disappointed....

By AjJune 5, 2019A/C check up$45
Had Crispy Air out to our home to check on A/C. He stated a new unit would be at our best intrest and that he sent over a bid before even speaking with the warranty company to see what they would cover and took $2000 off his bid of $8800 and said warranty would reimburse them. I would rather see what exactly the warranty company pays for before spending the $6800 in case they pay out more than I was told. Pretty slick I thought. All in all the tech was polite but I quess they do what the boss tells them to do.

BEWARE OF CRISPY AIR & AHS HOME WARRANTY
DO NOT USE CRISPY AIR & HEATING
I have AHS Home warranty and they sent out Crispy Air to check out my AC. The tech came and all he did was look at the label on my unit, pulled out his cell phone and look up something on it. He pointed out that there is probably a leak by the Schrader valve and that our unit is empty of Freon and that our unit takes 23lbs of Freon which will cost around $2000 to fill. He then told us he would have to release it to find the leak then refill again for $$$. Then he went on to say that our home warranty company doesn’t cover much at all and instead went into a sales pitch of instead of spending $2000+ to try to fix it, we should spend $8000-$11000 for a brand new unit through them instead, even gave us the application for a loan. Then he went into a sales pitch of purchasing the warranty through them instead of ours.
I called the home warranty and since the tech didn’t actually check anything they never submitted the paperwork to them and they told me they would have to send the company back out and charge me another service fee. Now my warranty doesn’t want to refund my money for which I paid for a service that I did not get, all I got was a con artist for a crooked company.
I had another company come out check out my ac (not through my warranty), fix the problem all for around $300. He told us that the tech before was trying to con us and we explained what the man did, this tech said no there is no way a house unit takes 23lbs of Freon just no freaken way that’s a 20 ton unit that warehouses use. He also said if we weren’t with the guy from the beginning to the end he most likely release our Freon from our unit in the beginning and that is how they get you. Which my husband wasn’t with him right away he had to put our dog up. We have talked to multiple people who are dealing with this for both companies.

By a user in PhoenixAugust 9, 2018Brand new central air$6,000
I am so sorry I had this company install my new unit. Nothing, but problems and broken promises.
Just had a brand new unit installed and not only did they damage my house and leave without saying anything, but they don’t stand by their work either. Trying to have it fixed has been a hassle and we have had to have people back out here 3x and it still is not working correctly. They promised a more efficient unit and it costs me more for electricity than my old unit and it doesn’t work as well either.
After inspecting the attic space myself I found a clogged drain line with tons of debri floating in the drain pan and I also discovered cold air billowing into my attic because the old duct work they re-used is not properly attached. I’ve taken a total of 4 days off of work now and the lady at the office hangs up on me every time I suggest the work is sub par.
If you want to pay someone else to come fix their work after they leave then this is your company.

By J. S.July 16, 2017air conditioning repair$240
This was a home warranty service call that another, larger air conditioning contractor in the Phoenix area (who will be getting their own review momentarily, and it will not be favorable) had chosen to ignore and never even bothered to return multiple phone calls for days - Phoenix is pretty awful in July, by the way - and Crispy Air returned our first call within 30 minutes, promised to be here between 1 and 7 PM. The tech arrived at 1:45, diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly, their charge was VERY reasonable for services not covered by the home warranty, and within one hour of Koree's visit we are cool and comfortable again. Thank you, Crispy Air. We'll be customers (and referring friends and family) for a long time to come! J. Sulli, Chandler Arizona

Crispy Air installed an improperly matched compressor on my AC system and wired it incorrectly, leaving the connections exposed to the elements. Additionally, they used an undersized capacitor. Less than two years later, the unit burned out completely—a direct result of their negligence.
Despite multiple calls for help, they have ignored all communication. This isn’t just poor service—it’s dangerous and irresponsible. I have been without AC all week and have been waiting for them to respond for 3 days. Their texts insist someone will call me soon.
I will be reporting them to the state contractor board and the BBB. I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value safety, professionalism, the quality of their work, or someone who stands behind their work.
