Anyone looking for a trustworthy contractor, please be aware:
This contractor sued me as an individual in small claims court with an invoice that he never submitted to the remodel loan company. He double and triple charged for work. He ordered parts under our warranty without permission and kept them. He ordered an extra cabinet that he then took without crediting or reimbursing us. He took two large new rolls of pex piping from our garage without permission or reimbursement.
When the money runs out for special projects, so does his friendly demeanor. Finish work was not complete on either of our bathrooms, because he got upset so he scheduled flooring, paint and tile in the same day so that they would all be in each other's way. He took forever to do his only trade, which is electrical. Most days he just showed up to shoot the breeze with the subcontractor who did the majority of the work. I would not wish this business on anyone. He says he wants to help and seems like he's doing you a favor, all the while he's really feeling you out to see what he can get away with. His go tos are " remember you said" or " I have in my notes that you said". Read his contract carefully and notice how many times and reasons the word lien is on that agreement. He didn't even complete our garage roof that was part of the agreement or build a back porch with concrete steps that was both on the quote and architect plans!
For a knowledgeable and trustworthy contractor, call Gibson Construction. They did an exceptional job getting my home done the way I wanted it and without leaving safety hazards behind.
