Curtin & Sons Construction

I have hired Curtin & Sons for 3 jobs for a total of $100,000. Full kitchen remodel, full basement remodel, new bathroom construction and bathroom remodel. I can't say enough about the great people working for Kurt. He has a great ability to find good people. Not just talented by easy to be around and genuinely kind people. The work was amazing. Very clean with incredible attention to detail. Kurt has helped me understand the best ways to improve things which are not always the most expensive. He knows all the ways to bring the best value for my money. Highly recommend.

We used Curtin and sons on a major kitchen Reno. Prior to signing the contract, we were assured there would be lots of communication about the project and the progress. That NEVER happened. I would call, leave messages and never get a return call until something was needed of us, then we had to act immediately. While his carpentry guys did a nice job, we rarely saw Kurt on site. My daughter and SIL also used him (against our recommendation) to build a screen porch. They had nothing but problems from day one. He took their down payment in July and never showed up to start the project until November, then there were all kinds of delays with having supplies delivered and crews not showing up. Long story short, that deck/porch took almost a year to get completed and by the end Curt wouldn’t return their calls. He didn’t complete the work contract and they did not give him the final payment. My impression is he’s very disorganized and is so eager to get the “big” jobs that he forgets about most of his clients. Buyer beware.

Very happy with our whole house remodel. Top notch service and communication. Definitely recommend. Unfortunate people write a bad review who never worked with him. I know that they sort out the bad apples.

Jennas review is perfect, I can’t comment on the actual work because he never showed up to complete it. Kurt told me he would come in May, then said June, then July, then September and then he stopped responding. Don’t bother with this company if you don’t have a multi ten thousand job because you aren’t worth his time

Unbelievably happy with our new kitchen remodel. Kurt and his crew are top notch with great attention to detail and amazing g communication. Kurt went over the top explaining every detail and helping us along the way. Could not recommend a better trustworthy company to work with. Plus his little boys who help on project could not be any sweeter.

Kurt agreed to do a few "small projects" for me. After our initial consultation I spent 4 months attempting to get him in my home to complete these projects. He is terrible at communication and even worse at supervising the project. He even sent one subcontractor that he admittingly did not even vet. The projects that were completed were done terribly and left with me more work to do. I consulted a different construction professional who was blown away by the terrible workmanship that had been done so far. When I brought these concerns to Kurt he told me that he kept forgetting about me because I had such "small projects" and that he "does million dollar homes." I would suggest you look elsewhere for home construction needs unless you have a million dollar home.

Excellent customer service and final product. Attention to detail and great subcontractors helped work us through the process of remodeling our home.

Most definitely recommend. On time, honest and pays attention to details. Always took our calls and did what was asked above and beyond.
