Had a driveway replaced and widened. Paid 6500$. In May 2016. The owner stated he obtained a permit which I reimbursed him for at a cost of 200$ this was not included in the contracted price of 6500$. My project he said would take no more than 3 days it took 2 weeks. The end result was not what I expected. I could have done a better job myself and saved myself 7050$ the amount I paid after additional fees he charged me when my project was finished. He never got a permit and he stated to me he was licensed and insured that also was not true. All in all, save your money and hire someone else and check their licensing status and ask for a copy of their insurance certificate.
