Long story but worth the read if you wanna save yourself some misery from this guy!! There’s a reason why he’s a one star and that’s because you can’t rate any lower or I would. We Bought a home that needed electrical work done. David was recommended by the realtor and came to give an estimate for that work (Which the estimate was never seen by myself or my wife). The realtor just told us hey it’ll be this price for x work. Closed on the home (October) and the title company issued the check made out to his company for the work to be completed. Myself and my wife reached out to him to try to set up the work to be completed. He ignored our calls and finally months later (march) responded to my text before the check was no longer good. We agreed he’d stop by on a week I was on vacation in which he never showed nor replied back. Check expired and we had to get the title company to reissue a check. Finally in a few days ago (July). He was to come and meet the realtor to complete the work. The day came the realtor wasn’t able to make it so it just left our teenager at the home as we were both at work. When he arrived at the home the first thing he asked for was the check. Obviously the teenager didn’t know what check or anything about electrical work. So David left the home to go buy supplies. When he arrived the next time he had two guys with him which as stated in previous reviews didn’t speak a lot of English. He asked the teenager again for the check which he gave to him after we told him where to find it. David was suppose to go over the scope of work with his guys which at this point most of which was already done but failed to do so. He left his guys there to complete the install. During this time the guys did the work half way. Left our home with no electricity in half the kitchen (which powered the refrigerator and our utility room. They were in such a hurry to leave they broke a plugin fragrance warmer ( which then poured down the counter top and peeled the paint off of three cabinets all the while leaving the broken glass on the floor) and left one of their testers in the outlet. Once my wife got home she noticed we didn’t have power in the kitchen and tried to call him three times( you guessed it no answer or call back from him) the realtor was finally free and was able to come over to the house and see the mess of work( if that’s what you wanna call it) The realtor called him and answered his phone right off. The realtor explained to him the issues and he sent the two men back over. My wife who speaks Spanish asked the workers if they new what the scope of the work was in which they said no ( I left a copy on the counter before I left for work that day just in case of this issue). My wife went over the scope of work with them and then asked them what they were told to do at our home and they replied david just handed us these supplies and said install this. The install was sloppy nothing was centered not to mention rooms left without power for hours. The scope of work that we were given from the realtor wasn’t completed. We reached out him again about the work no response. He never came to do a final walkthrough he never checked on his workers ( whom I believe aren’t actually licensed to perform the work alone) he never apologized for the issues. So my wife text him and he finally respsoned I’m going to post his response so you can see what kind of person he is. Now keep in mind he’s never spoken to myself or my wife personally This job was bid 10 months ago. If u look at the estimate it clearly states smokes and carbon detectors and the are not battery powered only, they are hardwired and battery back up, gfi were installed where it was stated in estimates, previous owner had some things repaired, we did our scope of work. If something was truly broken, then why wait 5 days to tell someone? When the fridge power went out, my guys came right back out to replace gfi, but job not done well huh? was there at the job when my guys were there to find the issue at hand for lost power. Didn't even get a thank u from y'all. We didn't even have to repair that and make another trip out there, but we did because we stand behind our work. Stands behind his work so well he didn’t even know there was an issue because he want there!!! Then he informed my wife to never contact him again. Thanks for the job not so well done!!! Mr. 1 star!!!

    Wire the entire new construction.
    $16,660

At the end of our project David New charged us an extra $1,900 to finish the job. We paid so that we could close on our home. Then after the home was completed, we realized our master area lights flicker and several of our soffit lights had not been installed correctly. We reached out to him and asked for it to be fixed. He kept asking us to try to different things to make the flickering stop. He refused to come out to fix it or the soffit lights. We made a complaint through the BBB asking for him to fix it or pay to have it fixed. He responded by saying that the issues were our fault and we were just money hungry.

When we began the home building process, we were given a quote (he was given a set of house blue prints so we could get an accurate bid) from David New, the owner of the company. We approved the work to begin based on that bid. However, David increased the price of the bid by an additional 13000, but did not inform us of the increase until he wired our ENTIRE home. He threatened us with a lien if we did not pay the increase and then hit us with another 4k during the final finish of the home. We do have several items that need to be fixed properly, one is a large fan that does not pull enough power. He told us that we needed to try some things to fix it. I am not an electrician nor was I paid to complete the job! But he could definitely brag about all the toys he was buying or about to buy. He does not have any morals or ethics when it comes to his customers.

He was hardly ever on the job, but had two workers that did not speak any English. Several items had to be rewired or were placed in the wrong spot due to the lack of communication issues. Lights were hung in the wrong spots in bathrooms, sheetrock had to be cut multiple times to fix those and we had to pay for that.

This was not the first time we have dealt with David. He wired our first home and did a good job. HE WIRED it by himself and the bill was what the bill was. I understand there have been increases on prices due to COVID, but your customers deserve the right to KNOW before hand. This is not our last home to build, but we will never use David or recommend his services again. We are starting to build spec homes next year, and we will not use David or anyone associated with David. We are now going to have to pay for another electrician to come back out and fix the fan and related items.
