    $600,000

Terrible construction company. They have lost their license but if they ever do get another one, run for the hills. They stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from several families. Nothing was delivered as promised and the work that was done needed to be redone by another company. To many code violations to list.

    Build our log home
    $300,000

Best advice? Run away from Morrow as fast as you can. He tells a great story but does not deliver. Promised savings were never realized. Gen Contractor was there in the beginning but never to be seen again. His crew? His teenaged kids. Issues to many to name but here's just a few: poured driveway with inferior mix, didn't cover before rain, drive is now crumbling. Stone bricks falling off exterior and interior chimney. Wood floor on entire first floor installed incorrectly, didn't allow spacing for expansion and contraction. Multiple cracks and splits throughout. Disasterous worksite, beer cans found in master bath cabinets. Awful master shower tile work, had to be redone by outside installer. Biggest BS'er I've ever met. I wish I had know about this website before we hired him.

Build a log home in Michigan
    $400,000

Worst experience ever! We built a home in the past and it was a great experience. This go around for our dream home a log cabin, we went with what was supposed to be an experienced builder in log cabins. Found out they were anything but experienced. They may have been in the log home business but it was under another family members leadership. They never even moved one shovel of dirt, did not hire any subs, only provided a very rough architectural drawing and yet believe they were entitled to keep $30k of our funds. We fired them when the Bank they referred us to and who we were pre-approved with called us and said they would no longer finance jobs that D&D were a part of. This was a huge red flag. We contacted them immediately. They indicated all was ok. Investigation revealed that another family building a home were having significant issues. We explained our concerns after visiting the other home owner who had very legitimate concerns regarding quality of work, quality of materials, licensing, insurance coverage, mishandling of finances and alleged fraud. We spoke to D&D who said they understood our concerns. We discussed the return of our deposit minus charges for legitimate work. After no response for weeks we finally received a letter from their attorney with bogus incomplete invoices that ate up ~$25,000 of our $30,000 deposit. They wanted us to sign off on any future dispute in exchange for returning $5,000 of our $30,000 deposit. We disputed it and hired an attorney to try to work it out. Their attorney quit responding to our attorney. They quit responding to us and they still have our $30k. We filed complaints with the Michigan Licensing Agency (LARA) and found out they did not have a corporate license. The complaint was passed on to the Michigan Attorney General who has written up formal charges. Look them up on the Michigan LARA website to find complaints with pending actions. We have since identified 3 other families who have had terrible experiences with D&D Morrow Construction Services and David Wayne Morrow of Manistique, MI. Stay away from this contractor!

    Raze and build a house
    $500,000

    TERRIBLE!!!!
We had to fire them. They were using an unlicensed electrician even though a they had a licensed electrician pull the permit.$20,000.00 to correct , so far. Doors are not plumb, ridge in the floor, did not install flashings, roof needs to be replaced, numerous code violations, gas leaking into basement as a result of three screws into gas line , the way they were to install the fireplace would have put CO back in house, after they razed the old house ,told us we need to replace the basement walls,( how could they no know that sooner),deck supports do not line up, over ordered product needed, do not give credit for work changes they do not do , promises not kept, toward end of project submit unknown additional charges they feel are due them, do not clean up after themselves ( as contract says), do not work every weekday , as they promise, their “crew” consisted of two workers, etc, etc.
We heave filed complaint to Michigan LARA and Attorney General, as 4 out of 5 of their most recent customers have done. Lie, cheat and steal.
