The job was replacing two sets of concrete stairs that were 100 years old. We just replaced the steps and left the side walls. Donte did a good job fitting the new steps inside the old walls. He made sure we were satisfied with the work.

Donte was hired based on a referral from a friend who was very pleased with his work. He was to finish work that had been left undone or was damaged by a previous contractor who was rather unscrupulous. Donte followed that example. He took $10,000 of my money. He bought several cans of paint ($100). They were usually the wrong color. He painted a ceiling that was not to be painted. He placed some trim in my office that can be purchased for $!0. Some electrical work was done, by another contractor whom he contacted. I paid that person separately. Donte then charged me for the electrician in a final bill, trying to make charges fit to justify the $10,000.
Donte talked back to me, talked over me, told me that I had bad taste and that he knew more that I did about design. I had asked to borrow.a wrench to put on a toilet seat. His guys said they would put it on for me, no problem, no charge. Donte charged me $250 after he got angry. The toilet has never worked after they put the seat on.
Donte ordered a shower head for me. I put it on myself. His final bill had a delivery charge of $385. Ridiculous.
I was to have my kitchen cabinets painted. Another contractor painted them for $3000 in a week,
I think that Mr. HIll is a bad businessman and an inconsistent contractor. I would recommend him to no one.
