This was a wonderful company to work with! They were fast, efficient, and easy to communicate with. I would recommend and will be having them come back for other projects!

We contracted them to replace our roof, install 3 sets of storm doors, windows, screens for the doors, replace existing deck and extend deck around an above ground pool. This was in Sep 2021. He told us he would pull permits, but never did. The roofers left trash, nails, shingles (have pics). Mike said he would give us a $350 gift card for the trouble, never received. They installed Anderson doors and windows (all but one window, for our bathroom, that we agreed they would do when they returned). Never returned. One set of storm doors leak badly whenever it rains (have video and pics). They said they would return to “fix it", never did. After texting, calling, and emailing them, it took, at times, a week or longer to get a response. They would schedule, cancel and reschedule numerous times. In April 2022, we texted asking why they kept pushing the date back. Immediately, Mike called and began screaming at us, “why are you questioning me, if you don’t trust me, I’ll give your money back". After we pleaded with him to return and finish the job, he said, "Fine, my guys will be there tomorrow”, and hung up. The next morning, we called him at approx 9:45am to see if they were still coming, he said, we'll be there in 30 min. Mike and my husband agreed to extend the deck more than originally planned, without my knowledge, so my husband and I asked him to extend the deck at a location that was agreeable to all of us. Mike said, “Sure, no problem. This work will be at time and materials when we return”. We said, “Great, sounds good”. After 3 weeks, we asked when they would return, they gave us a date in mid-late May 2022. Mike said we needed to sign a waiver since they left our deck undone (have pics). There are no railings on the ends of the deck. We never received any waiver. After another month passed, we texted, again, asking when they would return, that we were concerned for safety reasons because the gates were never installed at the top of the two stairs (since we are putting in a pool), and that we need railings and posts put up, as well. Dasha (Mike's wife) texted us they would have to “squeeze us in” on June 16. Dasha texted us the night of June 15, stating they had an emergent job out of town but would return on Wed, June 22, and they would complete this project. On that day, no show/no call. My husband and I, both, called their numbers and left detailed messages (on Dasha’s phone; Mike’s voicemail was full). We continued to text and/or call both their numbers but they never answered. On Thurs, June 23, still, no reply. So, in the early afternoon, we asked a friend of ours to call Mike. He answered after 2 rings, she asked questions about their business (if they pulled permits, which he replied, “Yes, absolutely”). We asked our friend to call him again and to conference us in. As soon as Mike was aware that my husband and I were on the phone, he began screaming, "leave me alone, we will never return to your property, find another contractor." We have given this company close to $60,000.00. I stated that this was completely unacceptable, a breach of contract, and that we trusted him. He screamed, “Sue me if you want, I don’t care, you complain too much, other customers like us, we will never return to your home, you are crazy”. Then hung up. They promised to send us copies of all receipts for the materials we paid for…they never did. No permits were pulled. We are still waiting for 3 sets of storm door screens that we have already paid for. We told him to keep the screens and refund us. He refused. We have documented everything and have pictures. This has been the extremely unnecessarily distressing when we have tried on numerous occasions to come to an amicable resolution.

UPDATE: D&M Construction, LLC (Mikhail/Dasha Ilyuk) ***This is ALL public information***.
The VAdpor (Virginia Dept of Professional & Occupational Reg) determined that D&M Construction, LLC. (Mikhail/Dasha Ilyuk) was in violation in reference to D&M not finishing the work we paid for; thus leaving our deck in hazardous condition). We won the 1st judgment against D&M on Dec 5, 2022. They paid on May 19, 2023 (5+ months later). Our suit was in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham Cty General District Court. We hired another contractor (licensed, has integrity & professional work ethics). After the remaining deck posts, fencing, & gates were installed, we called for inspection. The under-deck support structure was NOT up-to-code; thus failing inspection. We filed another suit against D&M (to recoup the cost paid to the new contractor to get everything up-to-code). Rather than paying what we were due (and not a penny more), Mike (Mikhail) approached us in the hallway at the courthouse, with hostility in his voice, he yelled, "I'll give u $$$$", which was a significantly lower amount than what we were requesting. I stated, "Ur work was not up-to-code", my son added, "It failed inspection". Literally, Mike (Mikhail) yelled, "ur faces failed inspection". Then, he stormed out of the building. D&M (Mike) asked the court for a continuance (a regular occurrence with all of their court appearances), then retained an attorney. Thus, we retained an attorney, as well. His attorney was gonna fight that we should have sued one big suit, rather than 2 small claims. This saga began in Sep 2021, my husband died in Aug 2022, and as of Dec 6, 2023, with the guidance of my attorney, I made the decision to dismiss the case. This experience has been absolutely horrible. For my mental health, I need to move on to a positive HOPEFUL New Year.
