    Kitchen Addition project

    I signed a contract for $22500.00 on 03/15/2017 to have a garage replaced. D.A. Parsons never provided any service. He agreed to return my $7500.00 deposit on 04/04/18. after I called him a second time, he returned $3750.00 on 04/30/2018 and agreed to return $3750.00 on the next pay cycle. I have not heard from him or been able to contact him since. He doesn't return my phone calls or emails. Please help me retrieve my $3750.00. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENT THIS CONTRACTOR!!!

    Ms. Hightshoe entered into a contract with my company to construct a garage.. It wasn't until later did I discover that her property, was "managed land" by The State of Virginia. She explained to me she dealt with this earlier when she put a shed on her property. I asked if she wanted the garage built, and she said yes. This involved a lengthy process, of going back in forth with The Virginia Health Department. In addition, I had to meet with environmental engineers, provide additional drawings, and modifications to the structure so this could be built. After several months, I received a verbal okay from The State, and paperwork followed 30 Days later. Since I was currently working on another job, I told her I would get to it as soon as possible. Miss Utility discovered a power line crossing the footing of the structure, so after several meetings onsite with them they resolved how to relocate the power line, without effecting the septic drain field. At this point. Ms. Hightshoe explained she had a drain system buried in this location, and she did not want this disturbed. I explained to her the footing of the garage would have disturbed this either way. The day before the sight work was to begin, Ms Hightshoe said she did want the garage constructed because of the drain field; however, she did want some other work done, and she would contact me the first of the year. Ms Hightshoe called me months later, and said she wanted her money back. I drove to her house and gave her half of the deposit. She wanted the other half. I reluctantly paid her the other half, and absorbed all the cost for engineering, time and drawings. She now has all the approvals to build a garage from both The State of Virginia, and City of Virginia Beach, at my expense I can provide cancelled checks to show she is owed nothing. It was not until I received an e mail from a client about this review did I check to see if I had been contacted by Houzz. I found this email in my spam folder. Please remove it

    I paid D A Parsons $7500.00 on March 15,2017 to replace my garage. He NEVER provided any service and agreed to return my $7500.00 deposit on 04/04/2018. He returned $3750.00 on 04/30/2018 after I contacted him again and said he would return the remaining $3750.00. I have not been able to contact him since. Please help me retrieve my money. I would not recommend this contractor!!!

    We were very pleased with our meeting with Doug on Friday afternoon. Called two of the four references we were given and were told that they both had an excellent experience with D A Parsons Construction. We have decided that we want them to do the work.
