I recently had my roof replaced by DAC roofing. I hired DAC roofing because they use Atlas shingles, the salesman seemed knowledgeable and told me they could have the roof installed in 3 weeks. Not only did it take more than a week longer than I was told for the install but the new roof was leaking in 4 places the next day. The crew that did the install was not even employed by this company. It was another company subbed to do the work. So basically DAC roofing just sells shingles.
I made them aware and they sent a crew out to repair it in a timely manner. From my understanding, I was good to go since the roof has stopped leaking. When they left, I found some tubes of liquid nails that they had tossed off the roof but didn’t think much of it at the time.
However, over a month later, I climbed up on a ladder to install gutters and found my roof as shown in the pictures. They had done a quick temporary fix with liquid nails. I reached out to the wife of the owner who manages the company and she seemed more concerned with discrediting my concerns of liquid nails being used than resolving the issues. She argued that it looked to be a “tropical sealer” (not the case). At this point, I started to worry that they may have cut some other corners. The install was done during the rain and I never saw them put underlayment down on the backside.
So I made a post in a local contractor group on Facebook stating my concerns. At this point, I had lost trust for DAC roofing and needed some other opinions for peace of mind.
In the meantime, a superintendent reached out to me who was friendly and explained that they had just forgotten to get back out there and that he would make it right.
However, shortly after that, Doug the owner called and was very rude and aggressive. He was threatening and calling me a “keyboard warrior” and threatened to damage the reputation of my personal business. He was very egotistical throughout the entire conversation and referenced to the home as my “little trailer” several times. He wanted me to know that this job was so little that he wasn’t that worried about it. I let him get all of his anger out just to see how far he would go. He called names, threatened my business, and tried his hardest to make me feel less than him.
I would NEVER recommend anyone else looking for Atlas shingles to do business with someone like this who can’t admit fault and becomes aggressive and threatening so fast. Thank goodness my wife didn’t have to deal with him.

Dac roofed my neighbors house they had a sign in the yard so I decided to call I had spoken to Doug and told him our situation we’ve had 2 roofers try and fix our leaky chimney in the past and it just keeps causing more and more damage he sent out his repair man the same day and called me the next day with a plan on fixing the leak with a fair price I finally got my leak fixed and the shingles match perfectly i would recommend dac

If I could give a minus star I would. They were contracted to repair and inspect my metal roof before the closing on my loan by the sellers, and all they did was put a couple of screws on the roof. Even the 12 screws they replaced were only 1 inch screws and they were not attached to anything. After it leaked and damaged my cabinets I contacted them and all I got was an aggressive rude owner. He told me that they only charge $250 to do that work, he told me that there was no guarantee on patchwork because metal roofs are too hard to repair( was not stated on first invoice), and to never call him again that they weren’t going to do anything. That was the first and only time I talked to him, and he told me to stop harassing them . Terrible work, rude, and very untruthful! The owner still doesn’t take responsibility for his companies bad work! I do have an invoice that was sent out the same day the work was completed and then he sent my lender a revised invoice the next day late which my loan had already closed. He said I didn’t own the place but he had to clear the roof for my lender to close the very next morning! Beware!
