I had a good idea about what I wanted done in my basement work room. I felt very strongly about my preference. He would not listen to me. He kept pushing me in a different direction...ie. putting more lights than I wanted in this small room. Finally, I relented to his wishes as he told me he would have to tear the wall apart to install another switch to do it my way. This was BS as I found out later. I am going to get a different electrician to come over to do it the way I want it. It was a big waste of money. I regret going with Gary and do not recommend him to anyone.

    Electrical
    $15,000

I’ve used Gary a couple times now mainly because his prices are reasonable. I’ve never worked with someone like him. He constantly tries to talk you into doing things that makes the job easier for him even if you ware really wanting something different. He often says it’s because it’ll save you money but it really seems it’s just much more convenient for him.
He knows his stuff, but is the hardest contractor to work with (I’ve work with a lot). He’s incredibly condescending and inconsiderate. He leaves messes every time and says it’s cheaper for you to clean it up. He moves fast and expects others to fix the things in his wake.
He also wants payment pretty much after every day of work... no one works this way. Every other conversation with him is about money and it gets old really fast.
If you can handle the headache of dealing with him He could be a good option because he knows his stuff and is pretty affordable. But after going down that path a couple times now I’m definitely regretting it - it would have been worth spending some more money

    Verified Hire

The work done was fine. Only problem is that they didn't clean the drywall off the light switches at the end of the project.

Do not use Dagget Electric! I found him extremely condescending.

I did not have him complete my work for that reason. He was fairly rude to
the person I had working on my house.

    Electrical Work
    2 days
Gary was thorough, efficient and cost effective

Called Gary through the local paper. He was honest and upfront. In the end, he provided what I believe to be the best and most cost effective solution to my electrical needs. The work he performed was a combination of simple replacement of existing fixtures, installation of new fixtures, brand new wiring and construction of recessed lighting.
