Damon started out nice. There was an issue with the floor that we both looked at and agreed on using. He put the floor down and used a product that would void my warranty with the company so I had him remove it. This is when it all went down hill. He is very un professional. If you don’t know how to put down a certain kind of floor don’t take the job and if you do and mess it up don’t get mad because you are asked to fix it. Do research all floors are not the same. Bad business. He will also charge you one price for labor then add more at the end. He gives a 5 year Warrenty on his labor and says after the job is done the correct way and not his way he says the warrenty is voided. I know enough about the law to know that words out of ones mouth don’t void warranties. Don’t use him you will regret it. I had people I was going to give them his information that won’t happen.

We feel the need to provide review readers with a little more information about your situation. Your room remodel went far beyond just the flooring and knowing that you had a bad experience with a prior contractor not showing up to do your job, Damon took you on at a steeply discounted rate. The original contract didn't include many of the add-ons you requested, which were done mostly for free. These include the installation of all new sheetrock, removal of the in-wall air conditioner, and repairs to the outside of the house where said A/C was removed. In regards to the floor, Damon was provided with no paperwork stating the floor could not be installed with vapor-barrier. You purchased the materials so that you would only be charged a labor rate. After the floor was installed and the manufacturer was contacted, it was discovered that the floor should not have been installed with a vapor barrier because it would void the warranty on the product. Damon came back and removed the flooring, removed the vapor barrier, and reinstalled your flooring at no cost. Had he been provided the information up front, it would have been installed in accordance with the warranty. Nonetheless, it was installed accordingly in the end. With regards to the extra charges at the end, you requested additional work that was not in the original contracts. Prior to starting said additional work, you were given a price for the vertical blind installation, ceiling fan and light installation, and crown molding. Overall, you were charged less than $1,200 for the entire job. Damon went out of his way to ensure your satisfaction because his clients matter. Again, we are sorry you feel this way about your experience and hope that you are enjoying your beautifully remodeled space. -

Damon and his partner did a very good job installing new flooring in my kitchen. They arrived timely and were very professional in their work. If you are looking for a trust worthy and affordable contractor I would highly recommend Damon Sorensen.
