Dan the Handyman T/A Daniel T. Howell

Dan was referred to us by a friend who has used him for years and we were not disappointed. He was professional, punctual and thorough in the discussions we had about the work we wanted done. He delivered on everything we discussed at the price we discussed. There were no hidden costs, material was of the grade discussed. There was one item that when complete I wasn't completely satisfied with the look, only because of how we originally asked for it to be done. He promptly addressed it and changed per our request at no additional cost. Will definitely call him for other projects in the future.

Dan and his crew did an awesome job on my kitchen and back splash they were curtious wore botties on their shoes very clean and aware of our pets getting in and out of the home what a breath of fresh air to have a company who gets customer service

Beware beware beware I’m a renter and he was hired to do project by the landlord . When he arrived I asked him for his insurance and license. He got angry and called the cops (not really sure why) the cops to him there was no reason for them to be there . The job was a deck demolition I had personal belongs on the deck. Dan was out front and one of his workers asked if I was saving the stuff up on the deck I said yes . When dan came to the backyard he ask what they wore doing (I’m in the house but here him say throw it all out I don’t care) . I reached my head out the door and said you better no throw my stuff away he called back the cops are you kidding me WOW dan the handy man just wow if there was a zero he would get it beware

After the good job he did in our garage, we decided to call up Dan again when it was time to have our kitchen remodeled. Dan did a new tile floor, backsplash, LED lighting, moved the gas line for the stove, and did some plumbing/installing jobs with the sink and water filtration system. He also painted our many cabinets and cabinet doors. Dan was right on time, or early, every day that he was scheduled to come. He made sure we liked all the products that were being used and was flexible in regard to things like paint choices. He made sure to leave the area nice and tidy. We saved thousands of dollars by choosing Dan over some fancier companies, and feel we got a final result that is just as good. His new assistant Steve is a cheerful and hard-working guy. Together they made a great team.

Our usual contractor retired and we were hoping to find a skilled, honest replacement for him. By chance we found Dan on the internet and are so glad to have met him. Our garage needed serious work (new walls, lights, attic door, regular door, electrical work) and we called a few companies for estimates. Dan was the most knowledgeable, had good ideas for maximizing our space, and showed us ways we could get what we wanted for less money.

Dan and his assistant Carlos were on time every day. They explained to me what they were going to do each day, and reviewed their progress with me before they left, making sure everything was done according to our wishes. They did beautiful work-- Dan even fixed some electrical issues I didn't know we had. He has been in the business so long he's seen it all, which is just what you want in a handyman. He and Carlos were always polite and friendly-- true professionals. We have another job we need done later this year and we will certainly be calling up Dan.

Dan Howell is my Hero! On February 16th, 2015 a small copper pike froze in the attic and caused a massive leak that came pouring through my ceiling into my laundry room, down into my heater, and garage. Dan immediately answered his phone and arrived on the scene, and stopped the leak. He then needed to dismantle my heater to drain the water and dry it out. He made sure the heater was up and running for a while before he left the premises. The following day around noon, ANOTHER pipe burst near the front of the house. AGAIN, Mr. Howell, aka "Dan the Handy Man" answered his phone right away and said he would be there in an hour; he had to finish another job. To my surprise, it was more like 20 minutes. He quickly identified the break from the frozen line off the front of the house and began installing a new shut off valve, replaced the insulation, and restored our water again to working order. Mr. Howell was extremely professional, gave us his honest professional opinion at a REASONABLE RATE. I have hired other services that were double his price. I felt he was fair, honest, and very talented in his profession. I was happy and relieved with his services. I would highly recommend him to anyone! He even gave my husband a few pointers on how to fix/clean our air conditioner so we wouldn't have to pay to have it serviced. VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. C. Marrocco

Awesome job and he is a true handyman, polite an on time with a clean appearance could not be more pleased!
We have used Him many times

Dan replaced facia and rotten sofit on my rental property in January 2013. A little over a year later there is a hole where he supposedly replaced the facia in the back of the home. I had my maintenance person take a look at the work and he informed me that the front of the house was done correctly but the back was not. I had my husband called Dan and informed him of the problem and he claimed that he would go take a look at it but never did. Now whenever my husband tries to follow up with him he doesn't answer his phone nor does he call us back. We paid him over $2000 to do a good job and he did not and now he doesn't seem to be interested in correcting this wrong. I will never recommend him to anyone that I know. Shame on you Dan.

Dan has performed repairs for me at both my home and office. His work is beyond reproach, he is always on time and always cleans up as if he was never there! I have recommended him many times and those who have had work done are always happy!
