Absolutely would recommend Dana. We gutted and then built out our one-story house 18' in the back and added a second story over the old house and the addition. Dana's design resulted in a house that with spaces that flow well and which is filled with light, as we had requested.

I've used Dana twice. First was to add a front porch and rear patio. She did a great job of making them feel as if they were part of the original design - not a bolt-one. That was in 2007. In 2011 we used her again for an extensive remodel. We took the attic off our little cape cod and added a proper second floor where all our (3) bedrooms could be. With the ground floor cleared of bedrooms we took down a couple walls and moved the kitchen to one of the bedrooms creating a circular floor plan, a larger kitchen and a feeling of openness. All the while Dana kept to our core design value: Make sure it all felt as if it was part of the original plan. She pulled it off. Definitely recommend.
