  DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!! Dana Turnage came highly recommended by a friend. He came to my house to give an estimate. He appeared to be very professional and knowledgeable about the work I wanted done on my house. He assured me that he had a crew working for him that could do the work in a timely manner and they have their own tools and equipment. I hired Mr. Turnage and signed a contract with him on the 2nd of July 2019. We communicated several times that day. He assured me that his crew would begin work on July 3, 2019 and finish the pavilion part of the work the same day. I agreed to pay Mr. Turnage $2000 deposit, per our contract. On July 3, 2019, Mr Turnage informed me that his workers requested that I pay an additional $1000 before they could start working on the job. I agreed to the addition $1000, and gave Mr. Turnage a $3000 cashier check. Upon receiving the check, Mr Turnage and his crew informed me that they had to go to the bank before it closed and they would be back to start the job. About two hours passed, so I called him and he said that they decided to wait until the next day to start and finish the work. I was very upset and little did I know that this was the last time I would see Mr. Turnage again. July 4, 2019 Mr. Turnage crew returned alone. I noticed his crew helping themselves to my tools and equipment without permission. I call Mr. Turnage and voiced my concerns. He assured me that he would call them and they would return my equipment to its place. Shortly after, his crew informed me they were leaving and would return tomorrow. I called Mr. Turnage and again, he said he would handle it. His crew began some work after his call but packed up 30 minutes later and left the job. I informed Mr. Turnage and he assured me they would return the next day and he as well. July 5, 2019, Mr. Turnage crew returned ALONE. They didn't do any work, they just stood around. I am very frustrated by now. I call the friend that recommended Mr. Turnage and informed him about the situation. He informed me that he talked to the crew and they refused to work because Mr. Turnage had not paid them any money. My friend called Mr. Turnage and he verified there was an issue between he and his crew. My friend inform Mr. Turnage, that has nothing to do with me and he should honor his contract. Mr. Turnage assured him he would take care if the situation. I never heard from Mr. Turnage. He wouldn't answer my phone calls or respond to my messages. My friend finally called him on July 9, 2019 and merged me in conversation. I informed Mr. Turnage that his crew never return my air compressor, nail gun and hand saw that they used without my permission. I expressed how disappointed I was with the way he does business and I requested my money back and my tools that was taken by his crew. He agreed to refund me by July 11, 2019, I have not heard from him as of July 16, 2019. Please do not use this contractor for any job. He is not reliable, he does not supervise the crew that works for him (at your home or business), he is a FRAUD/SHYSTER!
