    SALEM, Mass. (AP) — A Salem home improvement contractor accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl has been ordered held without bail.
    The Salem News (http://bit.ly/29SMWuC ) reports that 48-year-old Daniel Beauvais is facing charges of child rape and indecent assault and battery. His lawyer on Monday argued for Beauvais's release on a GPS bracelet, saying that keeping him incarcerated would throw his business' employees out of work.
    But the Salem judge called Beauvais a danger to the alleged victim and other children.
    Beauvais was arrested last month after a police investigation that started when the girl told her mother she was abused repeatedly by Beauvais at his home.
    Investigators are looking into similar allegations made over the past decade.
    A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Aug. 22.
