Darins crew did a bad job. They didn’t completely prime the job. What they did prime on the sidding, was not with primer, but the finish paint. They sprayed, the cedar sidding only, n didn’t back roll as they should have. Then sprayed paint over dew in the morning hours. The paint started peeling 2 years later. Darin refuses to come a look at the job. Gives excuse after excuse why it isn’t his fault.
If u need a painter, I recommend you look else where.

Darin sold himself as a high end painter that to quote 'my reputation is based on the quality of my work'. When it came time to do our project it was subcontracted out to another company which I understand might be common. They did a fine job on the walls but the woodwork we had them paint was not done properly. The window hardware was sprayed over, holes and cracks were not filled initially, overspray was on our cabinets and there was runs, pools of paint at the bottom of a window sill, flashing, roller stipple, roller fuzz in the paint and caulked areas that weren't sanded. These issues were present when the job was in their minds finished and also present when they came back to fix the issues. The only way we could get Darin who will only communicate through text was to say we won't pay the balance until you yourself come over to look at the issues were having and be here when the crew arrives to fix these issues. He did come over and agreed it was not done well and said he would run to the paint store to pick up supplies and meet back at our place when the crew arrives to get them up to speed on fixing the problems. Instead he texted me saying he had left our keys(which we gave him to let he and the sub contractors in) at the paint store and instructions for the sub contractors to come fix the problems. Darin made every effort to avoid communication with both us(the clients) and the sub contractors.
Response from Darin Eisenzimmer Painting April 13, 2020Darin Eisenzimmer Painting Inc. handled all issues, completed all scope satisfactorily, and was paid properly. As with all companies, often during a peak season, an owner/operator like myself can not be in all places at all times. The subcontractor knew my specific instructions and fixed all matters on-hand. I continued communication with the homeowner via text, a viable form of communication at that time period. This is one poor review out of 600ish jobs I have completed in the last 18 years. We are a word-of-mouth, referral type of company...and will continue to be for years to come.

Reply from Darin Eisenzimmer Painting Inc. to September 21st review:
Homeowner calls me around 3 years later to discuss peeling paint. It is in one bigger area of his exterior siding...about 600sqft give or take. This area looked neglected from the start, or had a probable existing moisture condition. The GC removed and replaced other wood on the house due to moisture I'm sure. Note, this is an insurance claim. Insurance doesn't not pay to fix internal or external moisture issues. The paint we used has a self-primer, so priming wasn't or ever was the issue. Neither was backrolling or not. It was a moisture issue from the start. And after 3ish years, the water started pushing itself to the surface again. I told the homeowner, "you do know this is three years later right?", and we live in one of the coldest states in the USA...going through 3 winters and 3 thaw cycles can cause problems at times. So many factors can happen in 3 years. Also, the previous painters before myself didn't do that great. When asked if I have a warranty, after the fact, I said, "It is fair to me to be responsible for every painter that has worked on your house before me?", "...and is it fair, after 3 years, to ask me to fix an area that had moisture issues existing beforehand?". I thought this homeowner was reaching. It was the first time in my 20 years of business someone tried getting a free service after three years of the work being completed.
