David Merryman reflashed both of my chimneys over 2 years ago and gave me a 1 year written warranty against water leaks. Both chimneys started leaking after 10 months. He came out to inspect the work and said everything was fine even though they continued to leak. I had two other roofing companies come out and give me a second opinion. They both said the flashing looked good but he used the wrong kind of caulk and it had separated to where you could put your finger underneath the lap joint on the flashing. Rain blows under there and runs right down my rafters in the attic to my exterior walls. I have called his home, his cell phone, and his brother's and nephew's cell phones (they work for him) numerous times over the past year and he refuses to honor his warranty and my roof still leaks. He will not answer his phone or return my messages. I paid him what he asked, and my check cleared, but that's about the last I've heard from him. Unless you can afford to pay another company to fix your roof a second time, which is what it looks like I will have to do, I would recommend you just go with another company to begin with.
