I literally ran into Alex at Lowe’s - mentioned to him I was doing a Arbor - but didn’t want to wait as I recently had a outdoor kitchen built and wanted the cover extended as soon as possible - Alex said he really wanted to do my job - Alex and his crew showed up the next day and squeezed me in and got it done for me. I couldn’t be happier with the result and very impressed with the skill of the contractors and service from Alex.... would highly recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I did extensive research to find just the right company to build our patio. We made the right decision when we chose Darquea Home Improvements. I have a number of family members up north who are carpenters and home builders so we would know if the job was done correctly or not. Darquea Home Improvements came through with "flying colors." When we thought something needed a little more attention - it was not a problem. Alex and his crew were very accommodating and attentive to our wishes and and suggestions. Calls and messages were returned in a timely manner. If I could give more than a 5 star rating, I would. Excellent company with expert & professional personnel. You can't go wrong when you choose the right contractor to build your patio.

Alex and Team did a great job on my 40’x50’ auto shop. Specific requirements for wall strength and height as well as concrete adjustements for a lift to be installed. Very good construction. From concrete to handing me the keys, it was quickly done, clear and concise communication. Very pleased with the end result. I will use Darquea Construction in future projects.

We had Darquea build a patio extension in our back yard. The job was complicated as they had to tear out the existing cover and a large load bearing brick post. We had concerns because all we received prior to the build was a 2D drawing of the front elevation of the patio cover. However the job was completed in a timely manner and the finished product exceeded our expectations. We are truly happy with our experience.

Finished our rather large patio extension and pergola with in a timely manner. The detail on the patio and pergola went well beyond what we were initially expecting. I would not hesitate to recommend alex to our friends and neighbors. Communication was great between alex and I the entire job and even after completion. Great job!

We just had our patio extended and a new patio cover constructed by Darquea. They also stamped the concrete and stained and sealed it. Alex was very professional. He gave us an estimate promptly and an approximate date that they could start on it. They started on time and said it would be finished in at least two weeks. They finished in a week and a half. The workmanship is awesome and they did everything I requested. We are very happy customers and will use them again if we need more work done. I recommend Alex and his crew to anyone looking for quality workmanship.

My wife had a vision of what her dream closet would be like. After meeting with Alex Darquea working closely with him. He drew up the perfect plans and showed us what the closet would look like. After a short week my wife's closet was completed we were so pleased with the quality of the work the professionalism of his crew and with the rapid completion of the project.

I Rolled up next to the owner's vehicle at home depot and have been shopping around for a patio cover. Rolled down my window gave him exact measurements, cedar, stain, and composite roof. Instantly gave me a price nobody could beat and asked him when could they start. Two weeks later and they were at my house working away. If only life was this simple... $6500 out the door with the best looking patio cover in the neighborhood. #micdrop

We have now used DARQUEA home improvements on two different properties we have owned. The first was a Hardy board and the second was Cedar. Both look great an fit the style of the houses. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good quality work.

Darquea Homes was and is one of the most easiest contractors I have ever worked with. I had my doubts when Alex told me it would take a week. If I were a betting man (which I am) I would have lost.
His workers are like a machine. Each group came in did their thing and got out, and ready for the next group of workers.
I can't say enough for Kaitlyn that works in the office. My wife and I (I think) wore her out with questions after questions. She (Kaitlyn) was so calm and sweet, and answered all of our questions. I can go on and on about what a great experience it was working with this company. I told my Daughter and son-law about Darquea, they came over seen their work and they are using them to build a structure by their pool.
My wife and I are enjoying our Patio.
If you or you know someone that is going to remodel their patio or any outside structure, give Alex and Kaitlyn at Darquea Home Improvements a call.

I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. ALEX IS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL HARDWORKING CONTRACTOR EVER. HE HAS A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS THAT WORK WITH HIM AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE OUT COME OF MY PATIO COVERS AND NEW ROOF. HE HAD TO TEAR DOWN AND CLEAN UP ANOTHER CONTRACTORS MESS AND HE NEVER LET ME DOWN. HE STAYED IN CONTACT WITH ME THROUGHOUT THE BUILD. I WOULD NEVER USE ANYONE ELSE... HE MAKES SURE HIS GUYS KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOIU WANT AND SEE'S THAT THE WORK IS DONE.. THIS GUY IS A 20 ON MY SCALE OF 1 TO 10... IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO HAVE WORK DONE CALL ALEX DARQUEA HOME IMPROVEMENTS FIRST. HE WONT LET YOU DOWN!!!!!

We had Darquea Home Improvements build our patio cover and pour our patio extension. We got stamped concrete and the work is great. The workmanship of the cover is spectacular! We get a lot of people that stop by to ask and I am pleased to refer him and to state that 3 out of my 4 referrals have used him also. The owner Alex Darquea was there from start to finish and he truly knows what he's doing. I do know that the office staff is new and they did great. This is a family business and his niece and wife work in the office.Good Job Darquea Home Improvements

We used Darquea Home Improvement and actually knew the owner, Alex and his "wife" Christina, in soccer little league. We hired them to complete a stamped concrete patio. The did not start for months due to being "backed up" but we waited due to thinking they would do the project properly. We paid half up front as was their policy and halfway through already noticed major problems. They did not put any protection on our house before starting and poured the concrete so high it was inches above our siding which anyone knows you never pour concrete above siding on a house. our three back doors were actually concreted shut and had to be chiseled to be opened. the concrete slopes so much that you cannot put any furniture on it due to being so uneven. The slope in some areas are approximately 3 inches in 3 feet, way too much. We wanted a tan color on the patio and it looks orange and to top it all off there are tennis shoe imprints all over the concrete. We talked to Alex about all of the problems and he agreed with us that the only way to fix the problem would be to tear it out. We set a date with him for his guys to come out and tear it out. A few days before that set date we noticed Alex, Christina, and another guy who turned out to be his brother taking pictures in our backyard. They never announced themselves to us and were about to leave when my husband and I approached them. Alex advised he was taking pictures for insurance purposes to cover his loss. He advised us they would still be tearing out the patio in a few days. No one ever showed up and when we tried to contact them about it Christina advised us they hired a lawyer to handle the matter. To date we still have a messed up patio, have not been refunded our money. and are now going to have to pay extra to have it torn out by another company and have our siding redone. We talked to the city where we live and they advised us a permit was never pulled for our project and that they do not grant permits to Darquea due to them not doing jobs correctly up to code. We are so disappointed they took our money and ruined our patio/siding/doors. They are extremely unprofessional and have no real work ethic.

We were given an estimate, no sketch or diagram, just a reference of photos for style to select. We reviewed what was sent to select from and made a choice. We reached back out to them and they went up on their quote by 20% and never returned our call. Very unprofessional and will select another contractor for the work. Very regretful how they handled the situation, would avoid this company and will ensure we discuss with friends and family.

My experience with Darquea Home Improvements was excellent!! They did an amazing job on our new patio cover and outdoor kitchen!! We are in love with the extension of our new home! Recently completed a rather large patio extension project with Darquea...... After having several meetings with him for onsite estimates and talking through several different ideas; Alex helped me finalize a plan that I was extremely excited about (both the build plan and the price). Even though it was a busy time of year due to the backlog of projects built up from our Spring weather, he continued to give me updates as to where I was on the "waiting list" as far as schedule went so that I could make sure I completed some of my other smaller projects that needed to take place prior to the patio work. The quality of work was great and his crew were very polite and respectful as they had to work around making sure to notify me when they were coming early so that I could arrange to have my dogs kenneled and so as not to shock my, at the time, 5 month pregnant wife. The crew cleaned up after every session making sure that my yard did not look like the typical construction zone, and at the end of the job I came home to them walking my 6000+ sqft back yard scrubbing for concrete chips, wood scraps, nails and screws! The patio looks great (the concrete work by far exceeded my expectations) and Alex personally came out to do the final walk through that his crew followup within a few days to correct/redo/touchup any and all of my requests. I have since had several neighbors come over and ask about my experiences, while enjoying an evening on the patio, and if I was happy with the end-to-end experience and all I can tell them is that if they are looking to get something done, they better get on the list quick! Thank you Alex for my new patio space and I look forward to getting the next project on your books! --EK

While the work from Draquea was acceptable we have not been able to get them to return to correct patio drainage and other issue for 6 months (when the patio was completed. Multiple calls to the number listed and emails with the business go unreturned. -- Avoid this contractor
We are so very pleased with our new covered patio. It is beyond beautiful. I was home during the entire time they were here. They are wonderful, gifted, and excellent craftsmen. If you are in the market to ad value to your home, Darquea Home Improvements is who you should call.
