Daryl was very nice initially. He didn't want money down, but didn't want a contract. He said he works off a handshake. He installed wood floors quickly. They are very uneven, many uneven boards. He did plumbing work that leaked terribly, but still wanted to get paid for it. Parts of a wall he plastered are falling off. He stopped showing up two days before we were supposed to move in, and after dodging our calls he texts me and says he is taking as week off because his wife wants him to. We had to delay our move. Then he sends me a bill for more than we agreed upon. Do not use this contractor!

I recently bought a house in McKinleyville and major issues are coming up. I was told Daryl was the prime contractor on all finishing work. He replaced the roof by adding new shingles on top of old ones. I now have rot in 5, large areas where the plywood under the shingles is 100% rotten and the roof is caving in. The outdoor, front lights on the house were installed without junction boxes, with bare wires touching the siding that was causing the circuit breaker to trip as the siding was catching on fire. The plumbing to toilets were installed with plastic, sharkbite fixtures without shutoff valves. The plumbing under the kitchen sink was installed so tightly that I had to hire someone to undo it for me and the gaskets were damaged. Wood house repairs were not repaired using a primer and were left unpainted. All vinyl windows were installed incorrectly so that water drains to window frame, all wood around windows is 100% rotten and falling off. Yes, its my fault for buying the house, and its his fault for cutting corners.
