    Spackle

The crew did an OK job, however, trying to get a solid schedule from the owner (David) is a nightmare.

When he came to estimate the job, David told us FOUR (4) days of work was all that was needed for our job to get done. He never said anything about 4 days of "actual work" with additional days in between. So the job we were told would be a four day job turned into one that spanned over two weeks. We didn’t find this out, however, until half-way through the process as David ASSUMED we knew this.

Once the job started we were told that the schedule and arrival time would be set day-to-day. However, texts and calls to David were only returned after several texts were made on our end trying to reach him (asking over and over for a schedule).

Trying to get a confirmation on a time of WHEN the crew would show up was also a nightmare as well. We would text David the night before to see what time they would arrive the next day but were always told that he didn’t know.

    Day 1:
The crew showed up 10 minutes earlier than the time we were told the night before - fine! No problem.

    Day 2:
NO SHOW and we didn’t find out that they weren’t coming that day until late in the afternoon (end of workday) when we were told by David that they “got delayed” and “ran out of time”.

    Day 3:
We asked the night before what time they would be there, and he said he wasn’t sure. On Day 3 they showed up at 7:30AM - we had 15 minutes notice and were both still in pajamas.

    Day 4:
NO SHOW AGAIN.We asked several times the night before and were told he didn’t yet have an ETA for Day 4. ON Day 4, we texted David SEVERAL times through the day asking for an update on what time they would be there. NO ANSWER. Finally at the end of the day (around 5PM) we got a hold of David and he said that they were never coming that day. WHAT? Why not tell us that then? He also said that he had NO ETA for Day 5, however, that it would “definitely be after 9AM”.

    Day 5:
We received at call at 8:10AM saying they’d be there in 15 minutes. This is ridiculous. Again, very little notice and we were not yet finished dressing and getting ready for the day.

Then it was the weekend (days 6 and 7).

    Day 8:
Final day. We were told they’d be there after 10AM. When 10AM came and went with no show, we asked and were told “around 10:30”. They finally showed up at about 11:30AM. They set up plastic shields for the dust and sanded the walls as needed. In the end, it took about 1 1/2 hours and they were done.

Now that we’ve moved on to painting (ourselves), we have actually found many spots that weren’t sanded and/or weren’t spackled (or just not spackled properly). Its a shame. Did they do the work? Yes. But in the end, we had to fix enough of what they did so the walls look how walls should look.

DAS Drywall gets 3-stars ONLY because the crew did most of the work for us and showed up, but pairing the post-work we have had to do with trying to get a hold of David for scheduling made it a stressful nightmare.
