Ron seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Very nice and conversational. That's where they get you. I am a very trust worthy person. This is the first home project we hired someone for. We had him put a roof on our porch unattached from the house. He said that's what he likes to do. He was very hyped about doing the job. The project started he put the frame up. When i looked at it from the side, the frame was leaning forward. i asked him if he could take some of it down to cut the joices smaller. Seems like they are longer than the framing and pushing it out. He said they were to deep into it to do that. Mind you it was only the framing. So what did he do, he cut a notch out of it. He said if he would of seen it he would of fixed it. Before he put the roof on my fiance looked out and questioned the strength of the joyces. Ron said its tough it will hold anything. He had only used maybe 3 inch screws to attach the joices to the frame 1-2 on each end. Ok so he is the professional right? The metal roof went up. He said he could butt the metal roof to the house to keep water from coming down between the roof and the house. It didn't look like it would keep the rain from coming through. So i asked about using roof flashing to keep the rain from coming through. He said then it would be attached. Not if you attached it to the house and let it lay on the roof. So he uses lock tight. Ok now it is attached to my house. Plus the lock tight will get old and crack. He got it all over the place. On my deck, my front screen door, my siding, in my trash can and all over my driveway. Again he said if he'd seen it he would of cleaned it up. It was very visible. The roof did leak at different places of the roof. He came back add some more small joices. When i asked him to put up joice hangers he said we don't need them the snow will slide off the roof. Common sense the metal will be very cold in the winter and the snow will stick to it. Again he told me it will slide off. So he said for piece of mind he did put up some L shape fixing on the side of the joices. He saw a 4x4 he used and asked me if we were sitting close to it smoking. I said we don't smoke. The wood has a dark brown hole. He said I wouldn't put anything up like that. Well buddy you did. Now we have all kinds of screws through our roof from putting up smaller joices. He was to come back put up flashing and cut the screws but he was going to charge me labor and for the materials. I told him if he knew what he was doing he wouldn't have to keep coming back to fix his work. There is a lot more i could go over but i would be writing a book. So needless to say i never heard back from him to fix his mess ups. He said i was being very disrespectful. I'm disrespectful...you were very disrespectful to me from the start telling me you could do the job. I WOULD NEVER REFER THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also told me he could come back and take it down without giving me my money back. Very disappointed customer that will definitely do a lot of research on the next company we hire.
