He stole our deposit. He took it over a year ago and never showed up to do the work. I’ve filed the appropriate complaints. BEWARE!

DGP has deteriorated to a level that is no longer acceptable nor tolerable. I met with Dave Pelino from DGP Exteriors on Nov 22, 21 at my residence. I placed the order and signed a contract for 12 white vinyl replacement windows. I paid $4400 upon signing the contract and then was sent a text message on Feb 10th, 22 and was advised that I needed to pay an additional $1500 for the windows of which I provided him another check. The windows arrived in March. Today is July 12 and I still do not have my windows installed. I have attached the signed contract. I can and will attach pages of proof of text messages dating back from March regarding lies of when my windows would be installed. I have text messages with false info/lies that I have been fed each week regarding an install date that has yet to occur. I have also asked for a refund. I have spoken to him, left him messages, text him and either no response or a lie after lie or no communication. I am honestly just tired & fed up with dealing with all the lies each day believing that someone would be at my house to install the windows. I am not sure why it is so hard to tell the truth. I am disappointed that the contractor did not reach out to me after I gave him one last chance to make the situation right before contacting the BBB & going to small claims court. Dave has not contacted me to make arrangements for the install work to be carried out & I would appreciate this matter must now be brought to a conclusion.
No, the business has not tried to resolve the problem. The business owner was also supposed to complete a bathroom gut of my only full bathroom which I paid a deposit of $3500 for which he did not complete. I still have his contractors supplies at my house, which he refuses to pick up. The contractor left the site of the job. He did not have a plumber or anyone to tile the bathroom and install the fixtures. He failed to get a dumpster and left all debris on my front porch and lawn. Loose tools and equipment have been sitting in my house, which is a safety hazard for the babies crawling. Days and weeks went by without anyone showing up to the property to perform the work. I had to hire a plumber and deduct the amount from the balance. The bathroom tile was half way done and was all wrong and incomplete. The floor is 3/4 inches lower than what is needed to be. The toilet will not sit on the current cast iron flange. There should have been a cement board under the tile. The floor nor the cabinet was leveled. The tub was not aligned and it needed 2x4, screws, mounted, leveled and secured. When demolishing the walls, the worker cracked the wall in the other room and messed up the electrical outlet. The holes and pipes for the sink and toilet are way too big and there should have been new pipes and closed off. I had to hire a new contractor to redo my whole bathroom. I had to hire a plumber, I had to buy all new tiles. I had to hire someone to pressure wash the front of my house, from the supplies and debris. The contractor Dave himself, has not yet once been present on the work site. My family of 9 was out of a bathroom for over 2 months.
