  Upgrade deck

  If this is the same David Beal that did work to upgrade my deck in Reidsville, I wouldn’t have him for building a dog house. He left my deck in worse shape than when he started an charged me for it. Watch out if he starts attending your church. Comes across as a nice guy but is a con.

  I should have read the other reviews before hiring this con artist. He was almost done with the job and stupidly I paid him in full. He had a cabinet door that he was to repair and he was to install my dishwasher. All I got were excuses as to why he couldn't come back and finish the job. So he got my money and ran. Also, I checked with the tax department to see if he owned his home so I could take him to small claims court. His home is in his son's name so I can't even get a lien on his home. Do not deal with this slime ever.

  Bathroom remodel

  We paid David Beal Construction to remodel my parents' bathroom. What a mistake! My parent's are in their mid 70's and both are a little confused at times. We tried to be there and keep a check on things but who knew they would be taken advantage of. I am almost sick when I look at the walls that were not primed or sanded down before they painted! Nor were the dents repaired. This is a SMALL bathroom for gosh sakes! The original estimate was for repairing the wall in the bathroom, tiling the tub area and floor and painting. A four year old could have done better! To top that, the bathroom sink cabinet was not centered under the light fixture! They didn't think 4000 was enough to re-plumb the water lines and center the dam sink! We bought all the supplies (that is including sink, toilet, tile, primer and paint) ahead of time. Yes, we got swindled but I would like to now is...... DAVID BEAL, HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT!

  Shoddy Contractor

  David started out as an understanding contractor and appeared to know his stuff. He started a major project renovating our basement into an apartment and told us he would take payments as we went along. About 2 months into part time work he told us we were pretty even with the money and we agreed and also asked for an itemized contract and receipts for work already completed. He said he would figure out those numbers and my husband gave him $2,000.00 more to continue work. We never saw him again. He never returned our money (which was paid AFTER he and my husband agreed that the finances to work ratio was even). He never gave us a single receipt and will not communicate with us any more.
  Our current contractor is having to fix a lot of his not quite so professional work he left unfinished. I would NOT recommend him to any one looking for any sort of contractor. His work was sub-par and in my opinion he stole almost $2,000 from us.
