  Dave is a great roofer and sider. He has a lot of ingenuity when it comes to solving problems that other contractors will either not do or charge a ridiculous price for. He has done tons of work in my house and charged a very reasonable price. If you want perfection then go pay for it. If you want decent work, for a good price, Dave is good.

  He was great. He did numerous home improvement jobs including, sheetrocking, painting, deck repair, replacement windows, to just name a few. He is creative and extremely knowledgeable. We were extremely pleased with his work and would highly recommend him. K&V

  The WORST Contractor in the World

  I hired this guy 6 months ago on the recommendation of a friend who owned a local Dumont business. This was the worst move I ever could have made. He was supposed to repair front steps, and fix two small porch roofs. He quoted me (without contract; without written estimate) that the job would cost between $3000-$4000, which I felt was fair and agreeable, and he also said that he would remove some junk from my yard and trim the trees. That sounded reasonable, and he set to work the following week, tearing of the roofs and replacing them, as agreed. However, he left my yard a mess (such a mess that when my insurance company came by for a routine check on the property, they thought the home was abandoned), and it took me three afternoons on my own time to clean up and dispose of the waste myself. He destroyed a 50' extension cord I lent him (cut it in half with a saw), ruined a spigot by stripping it, broke a pice of the wrought-iron handrail that is now at a bizarre angle on my front steps, destroyed a brand new trash can after removing it from my property and utilizing for who knows what for two weeks, and ruined a broom and dustpan (this guy seems to not have is own equipment).

  Six months later and the job is still not complete. He has been trying to extort payment to finish the job and even threatened to destroy some of the work he has done if he doesn't get paid. We are now at $4500, which is still reasonable had the work been what he said it would be and if it were completed in the three weeks he said it would have been done. Do yourself a favor, and DO NOT HIRE THIS CLOWN (Unless you need a clown for a children's birthday party, and even then, get it in writing).
