David Collins was hired in 2018 to work on our bathroom to accommodate my need for a walk-in shower. We thought all was good until recently when then sub-floor began to give way. We called him to fix it. The toilet had not been set correctly in the initial job and the continued seepage had resulted in the problem. He said he would fix it. We had faith in him to do it economically since it was his mistake so we quit looking for another repairman. David presented his quote for over $11,000. The shower wasn't touched and the bathroom is 5 x 8. This is the only bathroom that I can access with my motorized wheelchair and was desperately needed. The job took almost 2 weeks and as we discovered was not completed. Baseboards were left off, paint was mismatched, a threshold was added which is almost impossible for my wheelchair to navigate without throwing me forward. We were not given an itemized materials list even though we repeatedly asked for one. The materials he demoed were thrown in our yard and left. We are now having to find someone to repair this work. The AR State Attorney General's office contacted David Collins who denied all allegations - even though pictures were provided, and refused to refund any of the money. I would never recommend David Collins Construction, LLC, ( Redfield, AR.) I don't know how he calls himself a contractor. His workmanship or his word are substandard and not to be trusted. He doesn't even deserve 1 STAR !!
