I hired Dave Kimball for my kitchen rehab that he failed to complete. He accepted two down payments for materials and labor but never delivered the materials or completed the project. I discovered that his license had been revoked twice by HIC. I sued him in small claims but have not been repaid. He has filed for Bankruptcy protection and is still unregistered and uninsured as a HIC. I strongly urge anyone not to hire Dave Kimball.

I hired David beginning of May 2018 to remodel and deck, it is now September and it is still not completed. Everything started out great, he was responsive, the quote was reasonable, there were some issue with the town getting the permit. But once the town issued the permit in July, everything went downhill. The town would not issue the permit to him since the state revoked his HIC licence. We agreed I would get the permit as the home owner and he would still do the work, I gave him the benefit of doubt because we did like him at first (wrong decision). Nothing has been done, I would ask when he would get started and he kept saying early next week, he would tell me he is short staffed but he would get it done. Then finally he just stopped returning my text messages, phone calls and email. It has been over a month and I still have not heard from him. Meanwhile I have holes for support beams for the deck, material just sitting there and a dumpster that is ruining my lawn. I paid a 1/3 deposit for the work. Apparently, I am not the first he scammed out of money and didn't finish a job. Someone posted on BBB that he has not finished a garage for someone back in Oct of 2017.
I highly recommend that you do not hire David as he will scam you.

This is the worst company to work with. 5 years after our renovations we have discovered that the bathtub was not installed properly and has been slowly leaking into the ceiling. The bathroom vents were not vented to the outside as discussed, so they have been venting into the attic space and now have to be vented outside. This does not even cover the problems throughout the project. A project that was supposed to take 3 weeks took 3 months.
