  Fix water heater

  I hired David Miller Plumbing to replace 2 thermostats and 2 heating elements in my water heater.

  3 days later my water heater stopped working again.

  After having to reset it over and over again, just to get it going, much like I was doing before David Miller Plumbing supposedly fixed it, I decided to purchase a new one from a company other than David Miller Plumbing.

  Less than 3 weeks later, I had my new water heater installed. Before they hauled away the old one, I asked them to remove the thermostats and heating elements so I could inspect them.

  Sure enough they were not new. Judging by the amount of corrosion, rust and calcium deposit on the heating elements and the wear and tear on the thermostats, they looked like they were as old as the water heater they came out of. (my old unit).

  I called David Miller Plumbing and sent them pictures of what they supposedly sold me as new.

  I spoke to a woman who happens to be one of the owners. It was a circular conversation that became very confusing, and some of what she was saying were flat out lies.

  It was in fact a lie when she attempted to convince me that it was her business who sold me the water heater and how it was now out of warranty.

  I never purchased a water heater from them and it didn't matter whether or not it was out of warranty. The facts were as follows:

  They charged me $260 to fix my 7 year old water heater by supposedly installing 2 new thermostats and 2 new heating elements in it; not only did the water heater stop working 3 days later, I now have proof that the thermostats and heating elements were never replaced.

  Of the $ 260.00 they charged me, there was a $35 fuel fee, so it looks like I paid to put gas in their car so they could drive to my home and do absolutely nothing but defraud me.

  I kept the 2 thermostats and elements as proof and I told her as much.

  She told me she would have her lawyer talk to me.

  I haven't heard from the lawyer yet.

  Outdoor Water Leak

  I don’t want to unfairly tell people not to use this plumber, make your own decision. I recently had a leak in outside water pipe in the 40 ft between the house and the street the leak was 20’ in from the street. I was charged $1000 by David Miller Plumbing to dig up the 40 ft area and replace 4” of the pipe. They did not leave me the pipe, but took it (my fault). I immediately called the owner and asked for a picture of the pipe, Diane said “sure no problem” but it was never sent. Later I was told by Beth it was destroyed. After the fact checking, now I am being told it should not have been a 7 hour process for two men. I do not have any plumbing background. I don’t want to unfairly tell people not to use this plumber but feel I should not refer to my friends.
