    Metal Roof Replacement
    Barn Roof Replacement

After receiving multiple bids to replace a metal roof on a large, high and steep barn roof , I hired David Musgrove. He replaced the wood pearlings, metal roofing, soffit, fascia and gutter.
He hauled away the old wood and tin each day keeping the work site clean. I am pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the final appearance of barn. Quality work for a reasonable price.

my experance with this contracter was a nightmare,,sold a roof replacement job based on a lie about who he had working for him, when they'd start & how long it would take...Took longer to get started then he said blowing off nice weather days.[to go hunting]Didn't have the men or crew he claimed. On 1st day with just a small area of shingles removed wanted more money then he bid for.and then removed more shingles then they could get replaced before end of day or bad weather came in.Left the roof with only felt paper on it & plywood laying over holes & over the gutters so the water wouldn't go in the gutters but instead in my garage.Left raw edges exposed & felt paper not secure enought for the wind & snow rain coming in.Didn't show up for anytime in the following 2days to secure the roof for the weather..
Then refused to do anymore work before he got more money over his bid & a new contract was signed. So basicly seems to been trying to extort more money by doing a small part of the job & leaving that part of the roof unsecure for the winter weather coming in.So yes the next day came heavy rain & leaks & buckets for the water coming out of the ceiling.Which he thought was no big deal..
He received half of the money for the roofing job which is more than enough for the materials needed. The reasons he needed the money had changed several times.Did offer to meet him to pay directly for any extra wood that was needed, then then he refused.Last reason for the extra money was operation expence.Saying he had his truck insurance that needed paid & needed his gas paid for to get to the job.Well isn't that what someone works for I have never know of a contracter that expects someone to pay for their gas & insurance & tools in order to do a job they bid own.So theres the number one reason he wanted more money added to the orginal bid.Sence he spent the money on other things other than buying all the material needed to do the job & getting to the job on a timely manner with the crew that was promised in order to get the job done so that being a contracter you get paid the balance then you have the profit left to pay other expences.
Also discovered that he had another job he was paid for that after several months still at this time isn't finished & keeps blowing the lady off. Also that one of the person he has working for him is collecting social security for being disable with a bad back & he has no proof of liability insurance on his workers.
Also discovered the david musgrove has been convicted of theif, not always a big deal but it turns out it's from a home invasion charge, thats a big deal.Mostly when my house was left open for them to use any power outlets & the bathroom with noone home. Then when they left the left the garage door open which is attached to the house.
Wish I had a better chance to check him out before hiring to do the job, found out there where other jobs he left unfinished & trying to get more money out of the people who hired him .
He was not the lowest bid but the workers he claimed he had being Amish is what sold the job but those where not the workers he had when he showed up.Just him 2 helpers & another installer.ZDidn't seem to know how to manage his crew he getting the work done & didn't seem to know how to manage the job & not impressed with what work was done. What several hours I was home while they where here David wasn't even around much & when he was spent most of his time on the phone.
I'm only on here sence I was trying to find out more info on him & to see if his contracter license was even real.He has only had it sence 8/08/13..
He did show up the day the dumpster was deleivered which was a great weather day but the only work he could do was put his sign he the yard.Said he couldn't do any work sence there was only 2 of them.REALLY.More like being lazy. When he started pulling some of his BS I pulled his sign from there yard.Started acting like another roofer scammer..SO NO I WOULD NEVER recommend him to anyone but would say to stay clear of this contracter.Does not do good work & most important does not do honest work.
It seems I have to click a star rating to finish this review,,well the problem is there is no minus stars.A problem in the rating system that should be fixed.
