Initially I was very pleased with David Nixon's work. I have a detached garage that had an office/living space attached to but when my husband died I was left with a structure that had rough electrical and plumbing, but no functioning power or water. David connected most of the electrical and had the utility company install a new meter so that there was power to the building. However, when Nixon started to do the plumbing, something happened and the work was not completed. Calls to their business were left unanswered when I tried to find out what the problem was, yet when I called from a different (unknown to them) phone number, I did get through, but was told that the Utility company was the problem -- and was told three times that they "had a plan" and would be out the next week -- each time. The project started in May of 2020. I paid them twice -- once for the electrical work and once for the plumbing work, and while I feel I got value from the amount I paid, I never got an invoice for the plumbing even though I requested one. I knew from a conversation with their business that my texts got through (the content was mentioned), so I sent one last text in the middle of December 2020 to ask for an invoice and informed them that I had talked to the Water Department and they had no issues nor any problems with my job. I therefore hired another Plumber to finish up the work, and it was completed over the course of 2 days. This included having the drywall that was installed at Nixon's request during the summer, required for the Electrical inspection, repaired because the plumbing fixtures did not fit. I then found out that the water heater was not connected and I will have to address that -- as well as some of the can lights that were initially installed are not seated properly. I am disappointed primarily that I was obviously given the run around, while waiting patiently for Nixon to complete the work. It was only when my time was running out (I want to sell my house and having non-functioning plumbing in the garage would have seriously hurt my resale potential) that I pushed the issue and decided to give up on Nixon and find someone willing to complete the job.
