- Building permit records show that Davis General Contracting has worked on 17 permitted projects.
Deck build: Deck railing was not built to required code height and did not pass township inspection. I requested the railing be rebuilt to code standard since it was an error on the company's part. Instead of making a new railing with his helper, Mr. Davis got a truckload of mulch and deposited it at the corner of the deck to raise the ground level to pass code. Additionally over 50% of deck boards were laid wrong side up which resulted in severe cupping of the boards after a couple of seasons. Would not recommend. A contractor should make a project right when the error is their fault, not take a cheap way out.
