I had to click a "star" to post this, but I would NOT even give Davison a one star if I could post this without a star. I would NEVER recommend this Contractor to anyone. While I was away one day, he had several people here when I arrived home. I asked him if he saw the storm coming, but he did NOT. His "company" left quickly and Davison and his workers tried to cover the roof, before the electrical storm hit, with high winds and pouring rain. I asked him not to remove any shingles unless he could secure the roof the same day to prevent water damage. He did NOT. He did not secure the roof in preparation for the storm and the tarps flew off the roof and water was pouring in the length of my home. I had every bucket and pan and towels trying to catch the water. I was trying to move pictures and memorabilia and other valuable things and furniture out from under the water running in. My home was flooded with water, as was the insulation, carpeting, EVERYTHING. The water ran through and damaged ceilings on the first floor also. Davison requested I NOT turn the damage into his insurance, that he would pay for all the damage. He did not pay one penny and his Insurance would NOT pay the damage either. I paid extra to have better quality shingles and with-in two years the shingles were blowing off. It has been a disaster of constantly having to hire someone to replace shingles constantly. I finally had to have the roof re-done and had TWO Licensed Michigan Contractors here to evaluate what Davison did and why I had constant water continuously in my home. Davison did NOT put any flashing around the furnace chimney, nor around the fireplace chimneys. Davison was paid to remove two layers of shingles and the old tarp paper, he left the 1960 tarp paper on the roof and did NOT repair any damage that was under this tarp paper resulting in more water damage in my home. Davison would NOT take one bit of responsibility for any of the water damage, nor did he do a roofing job that he was paid to do. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would I recommend this Company to anyone. Not only did Davison cost me a huge amount of money to do the roof, but all the damage he left in after he left my home and now I have to pay the high costs of not only having to re-do the roof but also to pay for all the damage he left behind for the new contractors. They took pictures to document all the inferior work that Davison did on my roof and we have pictures of all the interior water damage and the costly amount to try and fix things, but there is still signs of water damage on the birch doors and other areas of my home that we cannot correct. We also notice the water damage near electrical outlets and wiring for ovens and other motors for stove and oven venting.
