DC Contracting LLC of White Bear Lake, MN has a new build residential home/property for sale on Euclid Ave in Wyoming, MN that my wife & I sought to purchase as of about Dec 1st, 2023. Upon discovering my father's memory care requires increased attention & financial assistance, we decided to decline the purchase. Although the home is of the highest quality build, and an all around top notch property, we did break contract in terms of the purchase agreement we had signed, as well as the builder breaking contract by failing to disclose certain criteria regarding the association details in regard to the property. At this time the builder/owner of the property is retaining $5,000 of our $10,000 earnest payment.
It's of my concern that the builder has acted in a less than considerate fashion, knowing the both parties to the purchase agreement have broken that contract, with the builder assuming no responsibility for their portion of the breach, and essentially stealing $5,000 from us for reasons that we can only surmise as being that of greed & lack of comprehensive consideration of all facts involved.
It's my hope that the builder will reconsider and impress us as to their integrity & fortitude in this matter.
