We hired David Comaianni through our contractor for a remodel of our master bathroom. Although we didn’t personally seek him out, we assumed he would do a good job, as we trusted out contractor. Well, we are now on a second contractor and second plumber. Our new plumber has literally had to fix EVERYTHING that David even touched!
First off, he moved our hot and cold lines for our sinks as well as our drain over about 6 inches for the new vanity. We asked him to look at our vanity (sitting in our garage about 100 steps away) and adjust the lines to fit in the "cut-outs” provided in the back on the vanity for the plumbing to fit in (this was a 12’x12’ square, not tiny holes or anything). When the vanity was supposed to be moved into place, it didn’t even come close to fitting in the back due to his botched lines coming out of the wall… they were all over the place. On top of that, our new plumber informs us that these drains are “draining uphill” and our drains were already clogged/backed up. The sink plumbing was an absolute mess. We kept thinking “oh he must just not be done yet? It can’t possibly look that bad behind all sinks?” Nope, just behind the sinks David does.
Secondly, he replaced and moved our new shower valve over about 6 inches because our shower was getting larger. As a professional, you’d think David would have known to account for the tile that would be going on in the shower and adjust the valve’s placement? Tile went on the wall and the valve (to adhere the trim to) was about ¾ of an inch too deep into the wall.
Next, we found out that the hot water line that hooked up to the shower valve wasn’t hooked up correctly and we had no hot water. We assumed he would have tested this or known it was incorrect prior to giving the “ok” to have it be tiled over. So, with a tiled and grouted shower, we were lucky enough to find out he screwed up the hot water… can’t really have a nice shower without hot water, now can you?
We literally PAID DAVID TO RUIN OUR BATHROOM... and then paid an arm and a leg for someone to fix all of his mistakes. NEVER HIRE THIS GUY (unless of course you want a hack job). He will botch everything and you'll end up spending so much more to have it fixed.
