By Lara F.April 8, 2022Update chimney from stucco to brick veneer; paint stucco on rest of house$8,000
I was looking to update my chimney from stucco to brick veneer since the stucco was starting to break off. Bob was very responsive and helpful when it came to providing a quote, supplying brick options (very difficult at that time due to supply chain delays), and selecting the best brick to match my house. He started work right away and was able to complete it in a timely manner with only a few weather-related delays.
My only concern was how the brick veneer stopped about a foot above the roof making it look unfinished. He claimed they had to leave a gap because of the flashing which remained on the stucco they bricked over, but it was tough to accept that was the correct way to do it. -

HOME OWNERS BEWARE! This contractor is a pure thief. He will take your money and either not complete the work. Strung us along for 7 months for a job that was to take only three weeks. Needless to say, he received half of his payment but only completed 10% of the job. Had to eventually hire another contractor to complete the work. Currently suing and guess what, the court clerk told us, and I QUOTE,” GET IN LINE” Apparently Robert Deacon has multiple lawsuits against him in just Gloucester county alone. You can verify this via calling the Gloucester county court.

By Andrea R.August 30, 2021stucco repair$8,500
My husband and I hired Bob Deacon and his crew last month to repair stucco damage to the front of my house and chimney that were discovered during a stucco inspection while trying to sell my home. I first got a price from another stucco contractor, who simply said he would tear it all down and replace it all, for the "sake of liability" (his), which of course came with a hefty price tag. Then I met with Bob. He was honest, direct and knowledgeable. He told me that he has been doing this for years, helping people repair their stucco to get their homes sold, and that he would never rip down all of the stucco unless absolutely necessary - and it wasn't! He assessed the damage based on the report and gave me a fair price based on the repairs that were needed. During what is a very stressful time in life, Bob put my mind at ease. He and his crew did what needed to be done! They were here on time, and they worked hard. His crew was so polite and friendly, my daughter took to bringing them drinks and popsicles on extra hot days. My home is now repaired properly, and more beautiful than it was before! We went back on the market and are now under contract. I can't thank Bob and his guys enough, for all of their hard work. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!!!

Robert Deacon Stucco were recommended to me...you won't be sorry! They removed the lower siding panels on the front of my home and replace it with ledger stone and sill. The team that did the work was on time, clean, professional, and kind. It looks fantastic and the team and Bob were patient with our requests from the start. This job turned out wonderful. On time, honest and accurate quote, no surprises, and I would recommend without reservation. Also have to mention their patience with the many disruptions they dealt with due to other work being done inside and outside out home. Great experience top to bottom!

Homeowners BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE1! Robert Deacon is a disgrace to the stucco/stone profession- a man who ran his fathers business into the ground. All of the negative reviews are 100% accurate!
We hired Robert Deacon, PAID him and he simply walked away from the job and has all but disappeared! If you do not want to experience a ton of lies, deceit, and false promises-He has swindled countless people and has numerous court judgements against him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
He will steal your money, over promise and 100% under deliver! My experience was an epic disaster with this contractor.

Ok I have no idea who put in these reviews but I think they are BS and these people never used Robert Deacon Exteriors. I did, and you can see his fantastic work in Swedesboro. I own a Victorian house and it was time for a facelift. I always loved stone, and while not totally period, it was used. I contacted Bob from a business card I got from a paint store. He promptly showed up at the agreed time and brought brochures of what I described. After measuring he then brought samples of the stone and we selected Laurel Canyon PA dry stack. They started the job within 3 days and were there at 7 every morning. I spoke with the masons as they did their work, we were so impressed we then added more to the job. This was a bit complicated as they had to redo a corner but did so perfectly. As the job evolved Bob was there almost every morning and we spoke about anything that I had noticed. The home was built in 1880 so you have to "wing" it a bit as there are always unusual things in this type of work. Bob and his team always were professional and fun to work with. I am particular and we worked everything out beautifully. No extras no issues, done on time as promised despite spring weather. Even under construction the work was getting attention from passers by and many compliments. Today our house is far more beautiful and we move on to siding projects. I give Bob 5 stars and could not be more pleased. A true professional and a great contractor even given a challenging job.

By Raymond G.July 29, 2019Stucco Repair$6,200
We were experiencing moisture/mold in a foyer closet that was behind the front wall of our house. Deacon Exteriors, after explaining that the moisture/mold issue was a result of cracked and bubbling stucco, and that his repairs would alleviate the problem. We paid over $6.000 to have stucco repaired/coated. On the day the final payment was due, Bob Deacon hastily made some (careless – who caulks in the rain?) last minute decisions to get out as fast as possible. This also included re-connecting an electrical outlet on the wall that was replaced/re-stuccoed. I went to plug an extension cord in the outlet last week and couldn’t because it wasn’t properly secured when re-installed. I’ve had a “Damp Rid” bag hanging in the closet where the moisture/mold was the issue – it’s half full in the 3+ weeks since the job was “done”. I’ve made repeated calls and texts to have these issues fixed – and got only one response – one that said they’d be there w=2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard from them since. This, to me is not only un-professional (he says all the right things up until the time he gets all of his money, but also a form of) fraud and obvious neglect on his part. I am investigating my legal options at the moment but would warm everyone NOT TO HIRE DEACON EXTERIORS for any project!

Worst contractor ever! He was so nice before starting the work. They set up scaffolding around our entire house and then diaappeared for weeks before starting our job. The work was awful! Uneven walls and stone facing looked like a 2 yr old did it in sections. They cut a screen on our slider and he wouldn't own up to it. He said he would powerwash the walkway after the job was completed and didn't! It took 4 months to do our job because he was doing other jobs along with ours. Our neighbors were all laughing about how long it was taking! He became abusive to my husband when he called him to find out when he would complete what he promised. Cursing at my husband! Do not use him so unprofessional and shouldn't be in business!

Stucco cracked within two months of application. Stucco, caulk, and paint were done in a speedy and sloppy manner on windows and trim and spilled around building and pavement. Shrubbery damaged and destroyed. Extremely aggressive about receiving payment which was excessive for work completed. Unresponsive to follow up. Would not recommend.

Before being paid for job he was nice.... After he got his money he was evil! Job took entirely too long. 4 months from start to finish and it wasn't a big job. He didn't do things he said he would. Walls uneven. Workers were horrible and never worked a full day. There are so many wrong with this contractor too numerous to mention! Do not use him for you own peace of mind and money! Very rude too when things were pointed out that were wrong!

Unprofessional contractor. The stucco washed out 3 days later in the rain. All of the walls left uneven. All of the straight lines looked curved, not level nor plumb. I wish I could upload pictures to show all of the details left undone. Spoke to Bob but he kept saying it was a job done right and those were just details he could have retouched. This company should go out of business for what is my concern.

I gave this company $4500 in February, the owner said he would start work the first nice week. It’s now almost July and still nothing. I called, text. Nothing. They disappeared. I’m spending extra money to take them to court as well as an interview with Fox News investigators. They will regrets t doing this to me
