Christopher Dean Estep
Sole Owner
I would never recommend or do business with Deadline flooring, left sharp tacks sticking out of carpet, when I told him, he said carpet was thin. That was his answer to me, he didn't want to come back, "I said to him what should I do", he said just have tenant take a hammer and pound them down, that was his answer to me, after arguing with him, very carefully so not to anger him, he agreed to come out, but never showed up.
Also on vinyl flooring he did a very poor job on 1/4 round admitting he used wrong nail gun, his excuse was" IT'S NOT A PERFECT WORLD. "
Chris ( the owner) appears to be a nice person to get job, but beware he has two sides to his personality . When I told him of my concerns he gave me excuse after excuse. and with anger. This work was done In Dana Point at a high end rental that I have.
Tenant called me about tacks sticking out of carpet, saying her 4yr. old son hurt his foot. Chris wanted me to come down for a walk through he said job would be finished which it was not, I made a special trip from Carlsbad.
Also let me mention one more thing he was supposed to start the job on Sept. 28th, because renters were moving in Oct. 15th, he called me at last minute that something came up and he couldn't on that date,he started about 4 days later, that's when I started to see the other side of his personality come out. (I am mad at myself for hiring him).
I had installer for window covering coming on Oct. 5th, so he started a few days after that and put me under so much pressure.
And after all that , the finishing of the
1/4 round was not good ,and carpet as well !! This whole thing was a nightmare to me.
I had to call in a handyman to take care of tacks through out house, which is costing me $150. If Chris Estep owner and operator of Deadline Flooring wants to make a success of his business he better change his work ethics. I paid the price he asked and he kept on assuring me that I would be happy with his work, and I believed him.!! The right thing for him to have done was to come back like a business man and take care of what needed to be taken care of, but he he got mad, raised his voice to me . Chris did the Vinyl flooring and he had another person did the Carpeting , at no time was I at Job site , so he can't say that he was bothered BY ME All I can say is BEWARE !
I do have proof and witness to all that i have said.
