    Pool Construction

    Do not use Deal Electric

On 8/9/2013 we hired Deal Electric / Phil Deal to install electrical work for an in ground pool lighting system.

We paid $3,499- for this service.

We noticed 9/2013 that there was water coming out of the junction box. We immediately called Deal Electric / Phil Deal and left a message. HE NEVER CALLED BACK. We called our pool company and the came out and placed rocks under the junction box stating we need to elevate the box and leave it as is.
We closed our pool that season and saw no further issues (other than water leaking) , so we never called Deal Electric / Phil Deal again that year, as he never called us back anyway.

In the spring of 2014 we had the pool company out to open our pool (4/2014) and everything was working ok. The junction box was still held up by the rocks and there was still water coming from the pipe but the light was working. During our patio construction that spring we called Deal Electric / Phil Deal again and never got a call back. We wanted to mention that although the light was working it was leaking water still. NO CALL BACK

We opened the pool this season (5/15/2015) and the light is now not working at all. We were told by our pool company that they would have Deal Electric / Phil Deal call us to come see the issue. NO CALL BACK again. We called Phil directly on 5/17/15 and left a voicemail. NO CALL BACK AGAIN. We called again 3rd call on 5/19/15 from a different number and Phil answered. HE stated it was not his issue. He may come see it if he has time at some point. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & VERY RUDE.

5/26/15 – We called our pool company again and told them that Deal Electric / Phil Deal still has not come to our home to see the issue.
5/27/15 – we called Deal Electric / Phil Deal AGAIN and finally got an appointment for 5/29/15 to see what was happening.
5/29/15 - Deal Electric / Phil Deal came out to our home and told us it was not his issue and that the junction box was too low and that caused the issue. We explained again that we never moved the junction box and it’s been leaking since 2013. He said it wasn’t his issue the pipe leaked or that the junction box was too low or that the wiring was too short. He stated HE WILL DO NOTHING FOR US and it’s not his problem.

Bottom line – DEAL ELECTRIC / PHIL DEAL DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK, they do not return calls, and they do not fix their own errors. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

DO NOT USE DEAL ELECTRIC / PHIL DEAL IF YOU EXPECT ANY KIND OF QUALITY WORK DONE RIGHT!
