Decano Construction

Decano replaced our front sidewalk as well as a walkway with aggregate decorative concrete. The job was well done and done in a very timely manner. Dino even helped me finish up other loose ends on a project a negligent contractor left me to deal with. I would use Decano again.

I contracted Decano to replace a gravel driveway and concrete walkway with a new concrete driveway w/ walkway. The space of this driveway runs between mine and my neighbors’ foundation.

Dino installed the driveway, and although we weren’t very happy with it (it was basically just one big concrete slab instead of the driveway/walkway I explicitly asked for) but at the time we thought it was better than the gravel driveway. Almost immediately however, my neighbor started getting water running into his basement. Three separate concrete contractors we hired to take a look all agreed that the installation Decano construction did was poor and that all of the water from the new driveway was draining towards my neighbors foundation.

For months we tried to work with Dino to get him to take ownership of the issue but he would not. He insisted my neighbor was trying to get money out of him and didn’t have a legitimate problem. We have known my neighbor for 5 years now and have always had a great relationship. It was very obvious that the water was running towards his foundation (we have photos, videos, etc).

Because I was the one who contracted Decano, who caused the issues for my neighbor, I felt that it was my responsibility to remedy the issue since Decano would not. I had to pay to rip up the driveway that was installed and get a new one. But hey, at least I got what I asked for the second time.

I would absolutely not recommend Decano construction for your concrete projects.

This contractor took complete advantage of an elderly couple needing a walkway and porch pad replaced. Did not give us what we contracted to have done and completely intimidated us. We are left with water coming in under screen door when it rains. Beware of contractors or anyone acting like a friend and being concerned about what you are paying for. Also, beware when they want to be paid in cash. Instead of removing our porch pad, they poured 5 inches of concrete on top of old pad. Pad is now almost 12 inches thick. Cannot remove the concrete because it could damage our foundation. We are stuck because we were planning to sell house and move to an apartment. We have lived in this house 52 yrs. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND GET EVERYTHING YOU ARE HAVING DONE CONFIRMED!!!

Easy to work with. Fair price. Laborers are skilled, polite. Job was completed on time/on target.

I had an uneven brick sidewalk replaced with concrete. Dino,the company president, listened to my request, added helpful suggestions and completed the job in the time predicted. He and his foreman Craig were there everyday through completion. The crew worked quickly, professionally and skillfully. After completion they cleaned up thoroughly.

Just had a difficult retaining wall replaced, all the men worked hard to meet my satisfaction, the end results turned out fantastic. Would definitely have these guys back for any other home remodeling. Thanks again Dino, Craig & Dave
