Upon completion in mid-March ('21), of our new back deck, stairway and side walkway, I would recommend Brent Ashton of Deckmaster Construction without hesitation. After removing our old cedar deck, Brent installed Trex and Fortress railings; with footings, framing and engineering above and beyond the merely 'necessary.' The new construction is incredibly solid and beautiful!
Very quickly after the February 13 ice storm Brent and his wife came with his chain saw and cut up and removed downed tree limbs from our property. Partly this was done so that he could continue working on the deck, but he proceeded to remove a pile of maple tree limbs in our front yard that were not in his way at all -- a statement about his commitment to customer service.
He was punctual, hit the deadlines in the contract (despite losing several days to the ice storm!), was always pleasant to talk with, and paid attention to every comment/question that we had. He even had matching paint made at Sherwin Williams to paint siding and foundation sections that were exposed with the removal of the old structure. It looks great!
Brent takes great pride in his work. Even the West Linn building inspector commented on what a beautiful and beautifully built deck we have!
