My wife and I always wanted a deck in our backyard. We decided to hire Decks by Ziec to design it and build it.
It was a great choice. From the time Peter and Thomas came over to measure the property, design the layout, and throughout the construction of the deck, their professionalism, organization and knowledge stood out.
Thomas with the assistance of Brian, built a deck which exceeded all of our expectations. We never imagined having a deck as beautiful and well built like the deck built by Decks by Ziec.
Besides doing an outstanding work, Thomas scheduled all the necessary inspections during the various stages of the project, a clear sign of their professionalism.
Any questions we had were answered promptly with clarity to our satisfaction, which created an environment of trust.

We recently had our deck completed by Decks by Ziec and we couldn’t be happier. I still can’t believe our deck was done in 3 weeks considering we had a blizzard and several other snow storms.

We researched different companies in the area and were extremely impressed by their work. At the initial consultation we explained to Peter and Thomas what we wanted and they helped to sketch it out as well as give us deck board options. Everything was very detailed and we decided to move forward with them that night. All along they kept us updated on when they would start the project and were actually a couple of weeks ahead of schedule!

A week into the project we had a blizzard with 2 feet of snow which delayed our frame inspection. The guys showed up the day after the snow stopped with shovels and cleared our the entire area around the deck so that the inspector could come. After the inspection they worked through frigid conditions and more snow, completing the project in exactly 3 weeks. Even the inspectors remarked how well the deck was built and how nice it looked!

A big thank you to the entire group, and a special thank you to Thomas and Mike who were at the house almost every day. The deck looks amazing and we cannot wait to start using it!

2. Clean up. When the team was done, my property looked exactly is it did when they started except there was a gorgeous deck left behind. No mess, no garbage, nothing to clean up. They took care of everything.

Ziec drew the design on the first day he visited our house along with finalizing square footage, budget and timeline. If you're looking to have a deck built, LOOK NO FURTHER! Decks by Ziec was SO nice, SO professional, and SO meticulous. After working with Peter, I don't look at him as a contractor, I look at him as a friend. I have had people work on my house who just want to get the job done quickly and get out of there, leaving me with sub-par work...but NOT peter! Every single inch of our deck was done to perfection. Peter and his team just rebuilt our front steps from the first time Peter came to look at the job and give us an estimate, he was professional and courteous. He had barely shaken hands with my wife and I and he was already giving suggestions to improve our stairs. Something none of the other contractors we spoke with had done. He had plenty of pictures from previous jobs and references. We were quickly able to agree upon a fair price and timeframe for completion of the job. Our new steps are beautiful and we are already dreaming of the next project that we will have to Peter and his team. Don't even waste your time talking to other contractors.

I honestly couldn't be happier with the level of service, quality of work Peter and Andrew did and the communication along the way! I had a smaller deck/stairs project that many contractors would have passed on. Peter did not. He came out and spent a couple hours with me listening to my design ideas and he drew them up on site and was meticulous about the detail to ensure that it would come out looking 10x better than my idea! Andrew executed fabulous work, he built a mini-workshop in my backyard for a few days while doing the job! The project looks fabulous and it really improves the look of my entire backyard/pool area off the house. Peter also recommended someone to me for siding repair to complete the total job, and I was very happy with his recommendation as well. Out of all the 6 or 7 contractors I've hired on various projects for my house, Peter is the only one I can say hands-down was amazing in every detail, and a pleasure to work with!

I recently contracted with Decks by Ziec to repair a raised deck that had collapsed due to having been improperly installed by a previous owner of my home. They were able to look at the deck and give me an estimate on the same day I called, and the work was done within a week of that date. He has worked with some of the major Deck Builders earlier in his career and has very good experience from them.

He started on time and finished it ahead of target date. He's very punctual and totally professional.
We had screened over 4-5 Deck contractors and he came as, by far, the cheapest. I was concerned initially about quality of work but let me tell you - he blew us away with his work.

Ziec is very professional and will alert you of all the potential issues ahead of time. There were a few challenges in building around a gate and he proposed options. His suggestions around deck lights were also to the point.
He even put a couple of lights from his surplus ( and saved me some money ! )

Overall very happy with the Deck and the look and the workmanship.
Would LOVE to say - "Will use him again !", but have no more Decks to build ! LOL ..

Good contractors are hard to come by these days. They promise the world but always fall short. This was not the case with Decks By Ziec. Peter and his crew were truly hard workers that you can depend on. They started each day punctually and put in long hours to get the project completed on time.
