Worst contractor ever. Rehired them because they did a good job for some reason on our old home in Avondale-concrete job. Hired them in Berwyn , and for some reason they were harder to get a hold of despite being located in the same town. A big project-2 car garage, reinforcement posts for underneath an addition, reconstruct of a back porch including nes backdoor, and filling foundation cracks, drywalling in basement as well as rerouting a downspout to prevent further seepage. All of this dragged on from Aug 2017 to Oct 2018. all the while I was continually soaked for money with the total project(s) costing thousands more than we originally agreed to. I personally had to follow up on permits for the garage which were misfiled and never checked on by DEG. Then to top it off my garage was never sealed properly on the corners by a subcontractor who told me he would do the soffits for 800 extra because DEG told him not to because they had mismeasured the garage size and didn’t want to do it even though it was part of the job-because I “didn’t want to pay” since I held firm on the price we originally agreed to over a year ago. I wound up sealing the corners myself. I then had to replace the Cotter pin on the garage door a few weeks later when it popped off and said subcontractor didn’t show up the first time I called DEG for warranty work. I was so fed up that I again did it myself...
